Does anyone ever wonder whether the people who are anti abortion and pro life are also behind child sex trafficking as these potentially unwanted children (obviously not in the example used here) provide fresh supply? Put me as a father in a situation where I know my child is inside a house and the cops won’t go in and get her. Guess what! Dad is absolutely going to go in and get my baby! At 14 you can’t do anything on your own. Leaving on your own as a 14 year old isn’t the same as leaving at 18!!!!! Something needs to be fixed. Not the police say, the law says. Change the laws and the police will raid that home asap. How are people still acting like the police makes the laws? Talk to your lawmakers and give police the power to do the right thing.

Last I knew, most states have laws on the books against harboring runaways. Probable cause certainly exists that she was in that house. Search warrant time. The cops just don’t want to take the time and effort to get one. Or worse, the departments have policies or practices forbidding them from delving deeper into “less serious” crimes. Half of patrol cops in cities wouldn’t even know how to write or get a search warrant.
