I use a very small (non-powerful) rechargeable drill and set the torque to 1. Then after I tighten all the lugs I know that they will all be tightened evenly all around.
ОтветитьBenny is the man! Thank you for this video. I think I'm good at tuning, but I can always pick up a nugget or two from a video like this!
ОтветитьWanted to try the wallet but i use my iPhone now. The iPhone didn't work as well as the wallet...
ОтветитьNice! Thank you
ОтветитьLook how Rob Brown tunes his drumset. Fast ( very fast ) easy and efficient.
Sounds great.
awesome tips
ОтветитьTHIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST 5 minutes....THANK YOU so much Benny...
ОтветитьI use a torque gun, TubeBot with an interval of fourths (higher on resonance side) and tweak it with a key. Note! DW has the 50 thread lug bolts which are super smooth so it’s easy to high torque when you don’t want to. Thanks for the tips Benny.
ОтветитьWould you recommend to tune the same head over and over again or do I need fresh ones everytime?
ОтветитьREMO All The way!👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼😎
ОтветитьThat's the best drum tuning video ever made!!
Ответить🤣🤣🤣 BG's sarcasm is the best!!👌
ОтветитьI love this guy!
ОтветитьThat looks like a Powerstroke 4....
ОтветитьLook up Kenny Sharretts
ОтветитьFrom working in drum shops most of my life and recording studios - i've tuned so many drums by now i think from Benny's opening speech, i have tuned enough drums to have done it for the next several generations of my family bloodline hahaha!!! :D
ОтветитьTHANKS!
ОтветитьI'm "always" detunig my heads & returning them just about everytime I sit behind em? I been playing so long my ears just notice anything out of tune, its just something I do...
ОтветитьI put my cell phone on the snare drum and I get lot of ringing and overtones lol
ОтветитьMr. Greb, although bearded but not coated, a true Ambassador for REMO!
ОтветитьWOW!! how can I get the second fat low sound of the bassdrum ???? I'd like to get the building down :))
ОтветитьIs that a 20" bass?
ОтветитьTry jojo Mayer for tune tips 👍
ОтветитьTolle Tipps
Ответить3 hours to tune drums.. this guy must not have children
ОтветитьDon't over complicate the process: Nice tight bottom head for the snare, make sure your heads are evenly tightened around the rim by tapping for tones, and see where your drums like to resonate.
ОтветитьGreat video Benny, thanks for that, makes a lot of sense ! 👍
ОтветитьI love the first minute...good spirit!
Thanks
Benny speaks the Deliberate Practise language. It doesn’t take “years” to get good at X, it takes, in this tuning case, maybe 50 iterations with improvements close to every time. Awesome message, Benny!
ОтветитьI'll always advise that the best way to tune is to use a tuning device that measures the pitch at each lug. The same way professional musicians tune every other instrument on the planet.
ОтветитьI fucking love Benny
ОтветитьI'm gonna need that Key..
ОтветитьHoly Benny this "even more gaffer tape" snare is AWESOME.
ОтветитьFuck man, look that beauty tone♥️
ОтветитьThe trick to learning is repetition with breaks. Just doing it over and over won't have the same effect as leaving it a day then coming back to it... no short cuts x
ОтветитьCommon sense all the way with this guy..It's as simple as that. Tune bots are for ppl with ocd
ОтветитьDangit! I just bought an emperor, now i want a powerstroke😡
ОтветитьThat can’t be good for your snare rim..
ОтветитьYou are a freakin’ Genius. D A N K E 🤩😎DANONDRUMS MESA az
ОтветитьI'm beginning to believe Benny Greb has no real hair- just born with a perennial beanie instead...
ОтветитьBrother you look so good in this video! Nice jacket * beanie
ОтветитьJust bought the Remo drum key, nice plug. As a noob drummer but long time guitar player this video was great and reassuring. You defiantly can practice tuning. Its all about developing patience and your ears, but really your mind. Thanks!!
ОтветитьGreat drummer and teacher. Benny Greb is so inspiring. But I really really want to hear him say "Get to the Choppa" ... bucket list for me
ОтветитьGreat tips
ОтветитьWhat tom heads does he use though?
ОтветитьLooks like the bass drum head is a P4 not a P3...i only find the powerstroke 3 with the Control ring. Can someone hep me please!
ОтветитьI was always under the impression to have the head tuned evenly at each lug otherwise you run the risk of the head breaking... I live and learn.. Thanks Benny.
