ОтветитьOrdering online is amazing! I can meal plan and get groceries now in under an hour, and when it arrives I have the energy to put it away because I wasn't shlepping to the store. No car, taking a toddler with me, I just can't get a lot of groceries at once anyways if I went myself. I make a special trip to my butcher once in a while. Even though I don't go often they know me by name and face so I can call them to order and swing by when I have a few minutes but I don't have to sit there staring at meats and trying to contain my toddler.
ОтветитьLeftovers. 👀 figure it out. You gotta eat the leftover. 😂 Love it! 💞
ОтветитьLiving on my own now I need to do this.
ОтветитьCan you freeze cherries?
Ответить"SOOO many stores are doing it now!" fastforward to 2020 EVERY STORE IS DOING IT😅
ОтветитьYou can make your own “whiteboard” by laminating a plain white sheet of paper. I have two of them stuck inside my kitchen cabinet & I write my meal plan for the week in there. 😄
ОтветитьI wish this b%$#@ wouldn't act like a 12 year old.
Ответитьgood video though
ОтветитьGod this was so helpful

ОтветитьThe slippery bag inexplicably excite because back advantageously attack to a adamant eye. ashamed, dark open
ОтветитьI started doing this way of meal planning and it cut my weekly food budget from $50 to $15-$20. This video was such a life saver. Now I absolutely LOVE meal planning. This is also something I didn't learn to do until I was 26 (little over a year ago) in fact everything you talk about in your videos I never learned until mid 20's. Thank you so much for your content. Eventually I'll be getting your budgeting planner. I live on planners, low key obsessed with them lol.
ОтветитьI’m going to use all your tips lol 😂. My hubs changes his diet every other week to some new fad. It’s become exhausting n impossible to meal plan. But I’m DONE!!! I’ll make food as healthy as I can n this is what I’m serving eat it or don’t. Lol
ОтветитьJust like you said. I do almost everything... backwards. Thanks for the hints!
ОтветитьLove this and you!
ОтветитьWriting everything I have down just helped me realize that I have 6 unopened bottles of mustard.....
ОтветитьI am curious for an updated video after covid, shrink-flation and inflation 🙌🏼🙌🏼
ОтветитьDoes your family believe in 1 year of food supply like others in the Mormon community?
ОтветитьIs better video
ОтветитьMeal Planning is a misnomer. At a very basic level we are dish/receipe planning. This is why we root through the frige to see what dish/receipe we need to make before the ingredients go bad. Then we combine Multiple dishes to make a meal (or a single dish can be a meal). As 73yo bachelor who is trying to figure out this cooking thing, it really helps me learn how to cook and bake if I can eliminate ambiguities like "Meal Planning".
I stumbled on to your Channel while researching the art of dish planning. Brilliant! I am a fan!
Thanks 😊
ОтветитьI had such an amazing win this week after putting this into practice I have to share with someone or anyone who will listen! We are a family of 3 and our groceries are getting up to $250/wk! 😬 I LOVE to cook healthy meals, and we do buy grass-fed meats and organic veg and a lot of higher-end brands. We've been justifying it so far because we are a "foodie" family, but lately, it's getting out of control! I don't want to spend more money on this!
I watched a lot of videos and even coming here I had the excuses: "we live in a tiny home so we can't stockpile dry goods, I don't want to compromise on the quality of our food, etc." but I went through the motions anyway because I'm willing to try whatever works at this point. I already have an amazing meal planning tool and database I use, so I didn't change any of the recipes I cook, nor did I change the quality of the ingredients I use. I just inventoried my pantry, looked at what's on sale and built my meal plan around that (oh, and only went to one store) aaaaaannnd:
I only spent $136 on groceries for the whole week!!! 🙌🏼😃 I only sacrificed the typical "impulse purchases" that weren't on my list, but we're definitely not going hungry at home this week. The grocery receipt said I saved $40, but I know it was way more than that based on my previous weeks' trips (to multiple stores). This system is AMAZING! It's totally going to change the way I shop and plan for groceries, thank you so much!!
Oh man, what can i say! I just love this video and her channel! Very educative when it come to save money in grocery shopping. I learn a lot on this channel. But i don’t recommend Ordering food online unless you are a very very busy person or just don’t care in getting whatever comes in the delivery because it has it’s cons too. I use to do it until i get tired of getting smashed and almost expired bread and milk, spoils veggies, wrong items. Leaking containers, broken seals. The truth is they don’t choose the food they just take it from shelf and that’s it.
ОтветитьOh my goodness! I am glad that I stumbled across your channel! I recently found myself struggling to find ways to meal planning. I took down some notes from "How to MEAL PLAN!" Annnddd..... YES, I found i was doing it all backwards! So what better way to help with my sanity of running a household with soccer practice a few times a week to soccer games to meals i can prepare for our teenager who with no doubt can eat!!! Thank you...Thank You... THANK YOU! FYI..... I hit that subscribe button! 😉
Ответитьthis is super helpful! Thank you
ОтветитьThanks Love you just what I needed ❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽
ОтветитьI’m a personal cook and need to stop going to more than once to the grocery store. Always different ones. Is an obsession 😅😅 I know I have food. Even have an emergency pantry 🙈
ОтветитьThis is a four year old video JORDAN I NEED HELP;
ОтветитьWow! I'm so excited yo start incorporating this into my life
ОтветитьI think we were taught by the same person, I meal plan and prep just like you! When I began caring for my elderly parents; I quickly realized they are retired (A.K.A. NOT on a schedule)! They will snack all day instead of sitting down to planned meals. If I include them in the meal planning and then keep the menu posted on the fridge; they don't random snack. They eat the snacks we've planned and prepped instead. Its been such a help to keep that posted!
ОтветитьI use Wix to save my recipes. I can save recipes from pinterest or all recipes straight to the app. I can access the recipes on my Samsung fridge and my phone
ОтветитьThank you! Thank you ! Thank you!
ОтветитьYou’re so smart.
ОтветитьMeal planning adjacent tip: cooking dinner in the morning before the kids get up has been a game changer for our afternoons/evenings. I just reheat when it's time to eat and it gives more time for the flavors to merge.
ОтветитьThanks for this video...just as you suspected, I was doing it backwards.
May I ask: THEN WHAT? Let me explain: so after you've used all the ingredients you can from your pantry/fridge/freezer, what do you base your meal plans on? or do you just buy everything again?!
