when the 10700k was a thing i opted for an intel solution over amd even though amd's overall benchmarks were higher. the only reason i did that was because of the 5ghz ballpark clock cycles. ehmmm. i felt like i made a mistake at the time by going with intel but the 10700k paired with a FTW 3070..... i have no complaints... this rig GAMES. air cooled with a dark rock pro 4. the thermal compound is kryonaut, both on cpu and gpu. my memory hold is 24 gb's of mismatched corsair 2133-2400 lpx lmao. i NEED to replace that.

I find this very interesting! And I'm looking forward to this, 'cause mostly I use my system to do near idle: my i7-4790K is running no more than 20 % while watching this, half of the time under 10 %. That's what I call near idle! But I need it to be faster when I need it.

So basically mu current processor (skylake) is the same performance as the simple core... That's the reason i'll need to wait a little for the early bugs to be flattened before i upgrade... other than the reason i hope the price will go down a little to an affordable one... And need GPU too so... let's hope it become better xD

Presumably the speed comparison between the previous generation and AMD's current generation (on a properly supporting version of windows) is.

Yeah, so let me get it straight. If i have an rtx2070s which runs on x16 gen 3, so that means it uses 4 lanes pcie gen 5. So i have basically space for 3 gen 5 m.2 drives or 2 m.2 drives gen 5 when installing an RTX3080 because of gen4 support? Did i got that correct?

return to competition? you do realize intel has been winning at gaming the entire time if not just barely being matched by amd ...and gaming takes up 70% of the cpu market place ..dont get me wrong amd makes great stuff, i own a 3700x myself, but why is everyone acting like intel was ever gone? intel was blindsided by amd in 2016 bad and they are still able to compete in the biggest part of the cpu market place, yet people say they aren't competitive. Everyone who knows intel knows they have never really been focused on to much else other than the mainstream 4-8 core gamer enthusiast group.

Benchmarking hardware with new software is sus

It’s amazing how intel’s processors that’ll have 2 less cores will match or outperform AMD’s processors that have 2 more cores, I guess core count is about all AMD have going for them to beat intel and it seems sometimes next to rarely. But I do like AMD also I used them both.
