Shady either has a low football IQ or was unprepared for this discussion. The Vikings from a couple years ago are NOT the same team as today. If they even had an average defense they would have likely went deep in the playoffs, but they were ranked 31st. Now they have Brian Flores. This current Vikings offense is even better, and the run defense is ranked 1 when healthy. The pass def "gives up a bunch of yards" because teams are often losing to them so are throwing a lot, and they take the ball away more than almost any team. The vikes have only been trailing 22% of the time all season, which is by far the best.. 2nd place is Washington at 30%. If the Vikings can manage to get the 1st seed, they are going to the Super Bowl because no team is coming into US Bank stadium and beating them with their unpredictable defense and insane crowd noise.

I kinda agree with Lesean McCoy on this one. I think Darnold and the Vikings have had a tremendous year, and have accomplished great things but I don’t fully trust them. Now I think the Vikings can win a playoff game but I don’t see them making a playoff run to the NFC championship or the SB. I predict Minnesota will be the 5th seed and play either Tampa or Atlanta in the wildcard and beat them, but lose in the divisional round to either Philly or Detroit.

They are elite because they don’t rely on any elite player. They are 6th in sacks but their top rusher only has 6.5. They are 2nd in INT but they have 10 players with 1 INT or more. They are 2nd in sacks allowed. They are a top passing offense without a 1000yard receiver but have the most 600 yard receivers. They have the most above average players at every position and they have an elite coach on offense, defense and special teams. all 3 coordinators are beloved former head coaches. The leadership is what makes them elite. They are hard to matchup against because it doesn’t matter if you have a shut down corner or 1 elite receiver because we have more receivers and our 2,3,4,5 guys are better than your 2,3,4,5 coverage guys. He have the best defense over the last 5 game and have score over 30 in all 5 for the first time since 1973. The packers are elite bacase they are good everywhere and hove no holes. They don’t have a true weakness to exploit on offense or defense and they have depth and options on both sides which creates matchup problems. The elite coaches are responsible for creating the matchups and the players do their job. That’s how the patriots won so many SBs. They weren’t stacked with elite players everywhere. They were well coached and had good leadership on the team
