Elk River vs. Park Center High School Gymnastics

High school gymnasts need to go back to basics.. they are all too sloppy.

I wonder if a lot of those girls went to high school gymnastics meets when they were eight like the girl behind the announcers! 😛

I dont think anyone does pull up on high bar anymore since the 80s or 90s

Some of these girls should not be competing in gymnastics. The technique that some are using could result in a serious injury.

congratulations to Elk River they seem to be teaching basics way better then all the other schools, all of their girls has more polished executions and are less sloppy then the girls from the others schools, especially on bars that is where physical conditioning is really important in order to keep a good form. Keep going to that direction Elk River school, that is the rigth thing to Do! And also their coach seems to be way more pro active all the times giving good advisors for the girls.

Um I do gymnastics and this is just cringe 😬! Not to be rude but some people are like level 6 and some are level 2!

The announcer: she dose it clean and with straight legs
Me: umm..... what did you say? Straight legs?? Clean???? WHAT?? Am I missing something?? Cause I can’t see straight leg and clean routines!!

This is scary to watch - these girls are trying to do routines way over their skill level and may end up getting really hurt. Heard in the commentary discussion about a girl being out due to a concussion - WTF

Tired of hearing how bad the gymnasts and announcers are on these videos. For a high school production, these videos are extremely well done and the broadcasters do an admirable job. I don't know enough about gymnastics to know if these girls are overdoing it or not but their effort, enthusiasm and abilities are first rate, especially for their ages. The coaches also appear to be very dedicated. You Go Girls and good luck in college!

That coach for Park Center is a true coach and I understand why he is in the hall of fame , to have a mentality like that is good "You want to try, okay come on " :)

Idk if anyone will be able to answer this but 2023-2024 school year does anyone know the baseline needs to join the Eagle River high school gymnastics teams?
