When I use to play (PC version) this great game in 1996, I played it with no med-pack lost and with basic weapon, without using advance weapon (collecting amo for all I could find)! I also made game-save on beginning and end of every level (with maximum med-packs and weapon ) so I can come back ( even today ) and play any level. Just for joy.
ОтветитьOh my this game looks so hard 0_0 now im thinking twice if i wanna buy the remaster collection. i think i probably will 😅
ОтветитьComparing OOT water level to this water level is insane.
ОтветитьI think i used cheat codes to skip levels because i remember the ending when some guy would come out and say "its nothing personal" and start shootin at Lara Croft 😂😂
ОтветитьIs funny how in retrospective, some gameplay choices can feel frustrating or dated, but at the time, mechanics like stopping pressing the shoot button to change enemies even after killing them felt so organic and nbew and fresh cause it kind of made sense on a brain also new to 3d gameplays. Like we accepted that as a byproduct of having the chance to have fun going through that grid and solving shit before gameplays on magazines were published and brag tf with friends at school.
ОтветитьProtip (thats entirely too late lol): always use the ingame save feature, even if you have save states. Cuz u never know what youll do smth dumb and wish u had a real save to load lol.
ОтветитьWas amazing. Just the amount of space to explore in 3D was a totally new concept on a home console.
ОтветитьThe T-Rex, me and my cousins were screaming while being bouldozed by that lizard when we were kids😅
Ответитьi like her small backpack
ОтветитьMy dad was obsessed with this game when it came out. We played it initially on the Playstation Demo disk and then my dad bought it on PC - we even had the special Lara Croft memory card. My only fond memory of this was playing the tutorial house on the computer with terrible keyboard controls, and then suffering through the very beginning of the first level and never getting any further haha.
I also remember watching my dad play through maybe the middle of the game and being scared when Lara would fall to her death or drown. Fun times!
I remember playing the demo at a very young age and being scared by the games atmosphere. Definitely lost my nerves when a lion approached me put of the darkness. Never picked it back up again.
ОтветитьTomb raider is a gem.
ОтветитьAlso nice Tony Hawk cameo fight (skater kid fight 😂)
ОтветитьYou and Flandrew should collab on a game 😂
ОтветитьMDK killed 1st Tomb Raider. It was too stiff and boring comparing to MDK.
ОтветитьLoved it as a kid. Sure it’s hard, but not as unfair as you made jt look at some bits imo. The idea is you take the time looking at the risks in a room. Not to rush and see how far you can come without dying. Great video. Made me wanna play again.
ОтветитьEven though I loved/hated this game at the time and have great memories of it, I gotta admit I enjoy the newest TR games so much more
ОтветитьAs a janitor I appriciate the realistic select right key mechanic 😂
ОтветитьMy biggest issue IV realised is I mix a lot of memories of tr1 and tr2 together! Anyone else?
Also..I have to say this again..I'm sorry josh but I don't agree with your idea of combat! I know it's clunky but u can use movement(even in corridors I'm pretty sure well timed 'roll' can get u past enemies and I can turn the fights) and I don't think static tanking is the way to go like you make it look. Love the video tho, I wasn't going to comment but josh makes it such a huge issue and barely moves when shooting that eventually got on my nerves 😂😂
Josh literally brings it up again as I'm writing this! The combat isn't amazing but in my opinion it's not quite as absolutely awful as josh says! You can use movement!!! Ahhhhhh! 🤣🤣🤣
