Is there a downside to buying the ETF version of index funds?

I have my Roth IRA with Vanguard in a target retirement fund. If I want to convert this into ETFs, do I have to sell of it and keep the money in settlement fund to buy the ETFs later?

Index funds aren't worth your time.... 401ks do index funds but with compound interest, and instead, I would just do a roth 401k! Basically, index funds not through a retirement fund will make you less money, but you can pull it out whenever you want, but instead, I would just to single stocks like I invested in nVidia and 2 days boom up 25%. If you're gonna do index funds, just do retirement. You will make more money in the long run!

If all index funds are a reflection of the stock market, how do you choose which ones are better than others? Why Do they say you have to watch ETFs versus keeping index funds for life? Aren’t they both equally diverse?

Its interesting, when you go Index you start to think like Bogle, not worry about what the fund does over a day, or a week or a month but what it does over years,

Is it possible for a bubble to form? I'm worried that so many people my age may be just starting to get into this stuff and, just like the real estate market, there's going to be so many people investing thinking it's essentially free money, that it actually ends up causing problems, creating a bubble, and popping.

Hey Humphrey! Awesome Video as always!

Quick question:

Which do you prefer?

Investing into index funds / etfs consistently every month

Or

saving and then investing larger amounts into the fund / etf when they dip and their price is cheaper?

My only question here is where does your profit come from? I understand once you purchase index funds/ETFs but how do you get a return? Do you sell? Basically I don't understand how the rest will take care of itself once I invest

I have been absent but I am playing catch up with your two most recent videos! 1.) thank you for the time stamps! It makes it easier to follow the video just in case I missed something and I can easier backtrack back to that topic. 2.) thank you for sharing about vanguard because I have been torn between them and fidelity and after watching this video, it’s clear I’m putting my money in Vanguard! 3.) I think you would be awesome in teaching a class/webinar about finances! Will elaborate on that via dm but I would love to have you speak at a Military Science class to prospective officers who have received scholarship (up ~40K for 4 years + $420 monthly up to 10 months) and how they could invest their money!

TLDR: your videos are great and I hope to message you soon about a collaboration effort!

Excellent video, the rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping, while the poor stay poor by spending like rich yet not investing like the rich. It's true that the cornerstone of every successful investor is usually an expert broker with a genuine and registered brokerage firm. You can’t be an expert in trading without mentor ship from an expert, that's why I recommend Mr. Austin Grey to anyone who is interested in learning and making profits. Most people don't want to learn about financial literature, they want fun and to consume. Entrepreneurs/investors want to learn about money and how to make it work for them
