I can’t wait to make this, I absolutely love shortbread. I make a lemon ginger shortbread, the ginger used is crystallized ginger and it’s so tender and flakey and all my friends beg me to make it, however it’s much more work than this one so I only make it for special occasions.
Ty for the recipe. ❤
Ye puir wee wummin. Ye appear tae hev hunnerts an’ thoosans stuck tae yer fingernails. Or are ye a wee bet fantoosh?

ОтветитьThank you! I love how simple and hands on the whole process is🥰
ОтветитьThanks so much. I have scottish ancestry and love making things my ancestors may have made
ОтветитьThank you for this lovely and easy to follow shortbread recipe! I may never get to Scotland , sadly, but my Scottish ancestors will dance a wee jig to know that they are being honored when I make this! Tapadh leat!!💖
ОтветитьThank you. I think I can do this! It seems so uncomplicated.
ОтветитьHahahahaha! A few weeks…or even a few days! I’m lucky if these last a day! I just can’t stop. Going to try this recipe for sure. Thank you! ❤
ОтветитьI love your accent! New sub! I will try this recipe 😋 thank you.
ОтветитьJust found you. Can't wait to try this. I also LOVE your accent!! I'm from south USA.
ОтветитьHas anyone converted this to cups and tablespoons, measurements? I don't have a scale. I have a Betty Crocker recipe but would like to try this one.
ОтветитьI'm going to try these soon..I LOVE GOOD SHORTBREAD..followed by lemon cookie bars.Thank you!
ОтветитьOh I'm making this in the morning
ОтветитьHave you ever added toasted pecans to the biscuits?
ОтветитьCould I use turbando sugar on top? I use it on my sugar cookies and it is great!

Brigt moonlich tenicht...
Thanks for this delicious recipe...
I love your nail polish 😍
ОтветитьI have making shortbread since 1978, I got the recipe from someone who was stationed in Scotland, I bake it in a pie tin and instead of rolling it out I just press it in the tin and then use the fork tines as you do. But I have never heard of sprinkling sugar on top. I cut mine into slightly smaller wedges. It is so good with a cup of hot tea.
ОтветитьThey came out wonderful! Thanks for the recipe!
ОтветитьLove this recipe
ОтветитьYou say that it keeps for weeks in an airtight tin …what a joke! A chance to test that would be a fine thing. Doesn’t last two days in my house….teenage boys eh?
ОтветитьMade this with my little grandson. Absolutely delicious! Thank you xx
ОтветитьI did it, I finally did it. I just gave your recipe a try. Turned out ok. I pulled it out of the oven a bit early, so I put it back in and over did it a tiny bit but tastes ok. My 1st try on shortbread. I found the dough little hard on the wrist. I doubt I will be be able to make it in 10 years as my joints get worse. So I better enjoy it while I can. Thanks for the recipe.
ОтветитьThank you for this. They look lovely and I cant wait to make this.
ОтветитьLove your fairy bread nails.
Ответить❤ ✿❧🌿❧✿ ❤
ОтветитьThank you for this recipe. Love the beautiful accent and the explanation. Will be making these today.❤
ОтветитьWhat would be the difference in this recipe if you used soft butter instead of cold ?
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьNow that's what I 💕. Traditional Scottish Food. 😋
ОтветитьThat looks so good.
ОтветитьMy mum always used a little rice flour in the mix to make it more crunchy
ОтветитьPretty much exactly the recipe I use, but I prefer salted butter. Makes it a lot richer tasting.
ОтветитьWow. Respect for the heartagram! HIM ❤❤❤
ОтветитьI love shortbread, it's one of my favorite treats! Thank you Ma'am for this beautiful video! I've made shortbread before but not this way, I should try this method. The only thing I would add to the recipe is half a teaspoon of salt to wake up the buttery flavor a bit.
ОтветитьLooks yummy if I was back in my sugar eating days!
ОтветитьLooks delicious
Ответитьbeauty.
ОтветитьFabulous❤🎉‼️❣️♥️
ОтветитьAmazing!
ОтветитьLa même recette de Gheribia un gâteau connu en Algérie juste on les façonner plus petits !!!
ОтветитьI like shortbread made with salted butter.
ОтветитьMmm looks so good
ОтветитьThank you so much for this detailed instructional video. There are thousands of variations of shortbread biscuits on the internet but you are the first authentic recipe I have found. There are not words to express my gratitude for you sharing your reicpe. I do have ONE questions. Why is there no salt in the recipe?
ОтветитьThe best accent on the British Isles. Shortbread is my go to sweet! Love making and sharing my shortbread.
ОтветитьNice recipe , I make mine in a saucepan ,but later years melt the butter in a microwave , no rolling out , just pressed into 2 sandwich tins , think the addition of cornflour makes it nice and short , my recipe is from The Women's Institute from the late 70s , but I will certainly give yours a try , nowadays there are very few shop bought shortbreads made with pure butter , many contain rapeseed oil and palm oil which I personally feel is neither good or sustainable , think of all the poor orangutans that have lost their homelands due to man's greed 😮😮😮
ОтветитьEvening everyone :) Could I ask you to give the video a like please...just before you go! Thank you so much x
