The reason why X-Men Origins: Wolverine was so good was because it was being developed as a different Wolverine game for years before Activision was like, "let's make it a movie tie-in game."

Ive been begging for remasteres of Xmen legends 1 and 2 thought after getting Ultimate Alliance remasters it might be possible but its looking at this point iys never happening. Some of my all time fave games

Because I played X-men Next Dimensions as a kid, it was literally the only reason I was able to shout "I know who that is!" when Bastion appeared in X-Men 97.

X-Men have had some solid games over the years. One of my first games ever games was X-Men on NES lol

Xmen the official game and wolverines revenge are probably the best Xmen games so far for me

Cyclops was so broken in X-Men Next Dimension, it was such a fun game but such a frustrating game. I don't know what they were thinking with the balance in the game lol. I adore those RPG ones though, so many hours sunk into those games.

I stopped all comic book games in 2005, but I adored X2: Wolverines Revenge and the X-Men game that was like a RPG that had Apocalypse in it. It was the second in the series. The first one pissed me off so much and I thought it sucked donkey balls.

legends 2 has such an insane amount of QoL improvements from legends 1 aswell. such an amazing sequel and dare i say... its better than ultimate alliance. IMO

all ps2's are junk now unless you have a hdd mod

Hopefully with the success of X-Men 97, we can see a resurgence of X-Men games like remasters & brand new games

Xmen origins is the same as the official game 😂😂😂 Wolverine running around chopping stuff up.

X-Men Destiny though I believe may also have the stigma of being one of the last games that that studio made which may lead some people to unfairly blame the game for the studio's downfall EVENTHOUGH it was all that studios fault.
They apparently let their license for the use of an Unreal Engine ran out ans instead of renewing their license they just used the engine illegally for X-Men Destiny and their other game Too Human, which lead to studio being sued and these 2 games actually being legally taken down with it being de-listed digitally and any unsold physical copies that were still on shelves were to be recalled for destruction.

I would pay a decent amount for X-Men Legends 1&2 to be remastered.

Out of all modern or most modern X-Men games I only played on PC games like X2 Wolverine's Revenge, X-Men Legends 2 Rise of Apocolypse and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I was wanted to try out X-Men Destiny but I skipped that game because.. well, I didn't liked the fact that you don't play as THE actual X-Men, like Wolverine, Gambit or Cyclops, and instead they give you some noname kids who you even don't care about. And that is what pushed me away from that X-Men game.

But, if we also count the emulated games that I played on PC, then I also played first X-Men Legends game, but on GameCube emulator. Because unlike PCSX2, that completely sucks, Dolphin since the version 5.0 runs almost on anything, if it's a gaming hardware even if it's old. But I wish that X-Men Legends 1 was actually on PC because, that way it would have been better to play it that way.

I would have included Star ocean and Tales of phantasia as those games have a really interesting development history and fromt hat we got Tri-Ace and they eventually gave us Valkyrie profile and Radiata stories

Legends 1 & 2 are some of my favorites! I grabbed those at a GameStop for DIRT cheap back in 2009.

I wanted to point out there's actually 2 versions of X-Men Origins Wolverine. We look fondly on the Uncaged Edition for PS3/Xbox 360, but previous gen systems got another version. There was a Hollywood Writer's Strike at the time so the game got delayed. It's just interesting to think we wouldn't have got such an amazing game without a sepcific event.

The issue with X-Men Destiny is the developer. Too bad, Silicon Knights went and stole Unreal Engine 3 code and got sued to oblivion by Epic.

I didn't exactly grow up with the xmen mutant academy/ next dimension games so I wanted to try it as a huge X-Men fan. Had my fun with Mutant Academy but definitely felt like it could be seriously improved, so I recently bought next dimension from a thrift store and thought it'd be a better version of those other games, man I was wrong.

It's funny that X-Men 97 brought people back into the mutant craze. Because X-Men Destiny shares an antagonist with the first season of that show.

Man, I love X-2 Wolverine's revenge so much. Glad to see it get some love. I just picked it up for my PS2 again this year. Booted it up not long ago and still love it.

X men next demotion on ps2 that used to be one of my favorites right up there with soul calibur and dragon ball thankfully it's easy to find online nowadays without breaking the bank 😂😂 x men legends was solid too

It's kinda sad that you didn't include games like X-men Mutant apocalypse on Snes as well as X-men children of the atom. They are very good and definitely worth mentioning as well as experiencing. I hope you will make a review or retrospective on them someday

Man I WISH Marvel would do a 2024 version of Diablo with all the heroes. NOT TURN based like Midnight suns, with GOOD story, GOOD gameplay, I'd play the HELL out of that.. And they could even be super greedy like Blizzard and make billions on skins and stuff. I want it!

The amount of great games that deserve a remastered such as X-Men Legends and Wolverine Origins from the XBox/PS2 is insane
