Hello! I know it’s not required, would it be better to put in a downpayment in order for the monthly mortgage payment be a bit low on VA loan? I keep on hearing that I dont have to put a downpayment if I use a VA loan. The homes here in SoCal are almost in the million. There’s no way I’m able to afford the monthly payments if I do not put in a downpayment.

Been in the ARMY for about a year and a half, me and my family want to buy a home, I have next to no credit but my sister has good credit, We both work consistently and have had newly paid off vehicles because I had it co signed, will the same apply with my VA loan can i have it Co signed?

Hello Jimmy, Would we need to get preapproved if we are having a new home build by national builder? I heard the preapprovals last for 90 days but it would take them 6months to a year to complete the house. Also, would we be agreeing on a price with the builder prior to them starting construction? (with upgrades we choose). Curious what would happen if we locked in a price then the VA appraisal comes in way lower than agreed upon price. Or do we not discuss final pricing until the home is complete and appraised? Thank you.

Employment hustory ? Do they need 2 years of employment ? is a veterans income ok good enough?
