Causally opens boxes with massive garden snips. lol
ОтветитьWish they had these at the Aldi in the US. . .
Ответитьi feel like expensive clubs ($1000+) are one of the biggest wastes for those of us who play a couple times a week. Get a decent cheap set or a good used set and just have fun.
ОтветитьSince when does ALDI's sell golf clubs
ОтветитьWe have Aldi’s here in the US too. I’ve seen some strange items there, but I’ve never seen clubs!
ОтветитьHad no idea you could get clubs at Aldi--- that will be my next "flex/dig" at my friends.... " Ha , whipped you with Aldi Clubs"...... 😂
ОтветитьCan't tell for sure but the putter head looks like it was cast instead of machined.
ОтветитьDon’t need any more hackers (non golfers) on the course.
ОтветитьGreat video man!!
ОтветитьNew to the golfing world but your content has really helped me integrate with friends who play and understand the basics of the game. Recently I picked up so really cheap clubs off Facebook marketplace and I have loved every minute on the course since. Thank you
ОтветитьLove vids
ОтветитьI've heard people make fun of the club brush before but I have one and it's flipping amazing. I honestly wouldn't be able to get all the mud and dirt off my clubs at least some of the time and that will absolutely effect your shot.
ОтветитьWould be interested on how these compare with other cheap half sets like decathlon's inesis 100...
ОтветитьI'm still pretty new to golf and just have some older clubs got from yard sales but I'd like a slightly nicer new driver but not break the bank what should I go with?
ОтветитьAldi comes up trumps again! love that middle aisle!!!! :)
ОтветитьI have never had any interest in golf atall till seeing your videos ! I'm now on the hunt to buy a driver to try a driving range !! Any recommendations for a entry- mid level driver to start out with ?
ОтветитьWhen in the world did they start selling golf stuff? None of the Aldi's in the states have any, and I didn't see any at the Aldi's I shopped at in Germany. Is this like a UK only thing?
ОтветитьI know its a late comment but ive recently purchased a set of Wilson profile sgi clubs. They are pretty affordable and its been amazing. There perfect for either getting back into golf or starting. For anyone wanting to get back into golf id highly recommend this set.
ОтветитьGet nitro clubs from Walmart!!
ОтветитьWho the heck cares about the labeling on the grips!!!! I put on new grips any old way. Not sure why thats even worth mentioning. It has absolutely ZERO effect on how they feel or hit.
ОтветитьAbout your grooooves! Was that a joke or serious?
ОтветитьOpening boxes with a pvc cutter lmao
ОтветитьHas anyone seen these in the States? I just looked online and didn't see any golf clubs available on their website. BTW... I found a set of Ping G30 (5-SW) at Goodwill for $2.99 each. 23 deg Tightlies fairway metal for 3.99, Cleveland Turbo Launch driver for 3.99 and 19 deg hybrid for 3.99. Pretty good set for about $40. The lady that works there was just bringing the Pings our from the back and I happened to be standing there, looking at the clubs they had. I said, I'll buy those...and she handed them to me. Best golf buy I'll ever find (other than free)!
ОтветитьMy first set of clubs was 110 dollars @ a dicks 10 years ago, couldnt tell ya the brand but it did exactly what it was supposed to, get me into golf. w/o them probably wouldnt be golfing. these kinds of clubs certainly have a place in golf. Im giving those clubs to my friend to get started
ОтветитьI’m pretty sure someone new to golf still wouldn’t fork out 187quid for a set if they weren’t committed to it.
Ответитьnow on offer for £149.99
ОтветитьI got a set of those clubs and the irons are just as good as my Wilson d200’s.
The putter and drivers are not so good.
Good to see that it is possible to get ok clubs at this price. Ty to Rick for giving this review. If golf can attract more players from less tradionally wealthy backgrounds, it's more likely to retain it's popularity !
ОтветитьI have a set of dunlop max clubs and bag. Picked them up for £50. Is that a good price?
ОтветитьGood video, but it would also be interesting to use a beginner with a premium set of clubs, and a bargain set, to see what difference it males to their game.

ОтветитьPipe cutter? What the..
ОтветитьRick thinks Aldi is only in UK 😂
ОтветитьWhat do you know about Pinhawk irons and hybrids?
ОтветитьWatching these videos shows me how it’s basically 90% the golfer. The very very best players get an extra edge from the best equipment. But for most folks a package set vs the most expensive set probably makes just a touch of difference.
ОтветитьIn the United States these clubs would be called "seconds". Everything from bowling balls to guitars can be a second. They usually have visible flaws like the bad paint job and grips not lined up on your clubs.
Nice review by the way.
These clubs are now £50 for anyone looking
Ответитьthe m8 irons are just m15 all Ben sayer's have done used same irons just a different sticker on the back if the cavity simple
ОтветитьWent to a place called play it again sports. Picked up a set of 11 for 70$. Now over 500$ in a decent driver and wood/hybrid set. My game is still as bad as it’s ever been 😂😂
Ответить😎 ben sayer are Scottish im fairly sure as there out well before lidl or aldi came round
Ответитьi have the same set😄
Ответитьawesome review, it's definitely the "the Indian and not the arrow".
ОтветитьAldi is a supermarket everywhere, not just in the U.K.
ОтветитьGood review, I dont enjoy playing golf but like watching you, a set of clubs costing about as much as one top brand individual club, and playing ok cant be bad
ОтветитьI can’t believe a 3 wood in a starters set should be a 5 or 7 wood
ОтветитьALDI STIL THER BEST SUPERKET FOR FOOD
ОтветитьCome on Rick a good work man never blames his tools 😉
ОтветитьMixed feelings about cheapo clubs like this. On the positive side, it's a cheapish way into the gane for someone on a budget. If you're going to play a few times a year then they're fine.
In the negative side, £200 is still £200. I think you can get better value in the secondhand market than buying these brand new. And surely there's an argument that if you only want a set of cheapos like this, then buy them from the guy who bought them six months ago, realised they weren't great and bought himself a set of Callaways in Costco.
The other thing I'd add is the old adage that a poor man buys something twice. Obviously you're going to change your clubs as you get better, but I definitely think saving up and buying a set for £500, preferably secondhand, is going to get you a lot further than buying these and then selling them for £50 on eBay or throwing them in landfill in a few months.
GIVEAWAY! Win the clubs used in this video. Great for a friend or family member wanting to get into golf
