I buy a 2011 S5 new. It was and still is one the most beautiful car cars I own. Then they built the four door version. It’s like taking a Ferrari 250 got and making a four door out of it . The S5 should of stayed a coupe and convertible. The four door idea was probably mainly a marketing decision. They lost me after that I’ll keep my Audi forever and I will not replace it

And its a fucking diesel. Better buy the pre facelift or an American one with the petrol engine. Or an ECU tunned 2.0l petrol would have the same power with better sound and cheaper.

Slow and overpriced, what's not to like

I personally think it's about time for a lot of car manufacturers to rethink the interior design and functionality. I am sick of seeing the screen in the centre placed there like it is some sort of external device that just got hooked up there... Very much a lack of innovation for me...

It's very nice. I think the Panamera looks better, though.

Another thing: Driving day to day I continuously get 450-470km out of a full tank (including driving aggressive when I feel like it). Last three tanks I tried to go fully "efficiency" but get nowhere the same distance so bugger the greenies and drive "Sport" I would say!

I had the 2015 supercharged S5 and now the 2018 turbo version (both 3L petrol). Give me the old one any day. Much better performance. The latest model's IT systems are all over the place. Proximity beepers go off without reason, seat belt tightens when there is no danger etc etc. Playing music from your phone is rubbish (shows wrong titles to what is playing). Going Mercedes next time after 12 years driving Audi....

Old s5 w the 4.2 looks way better. The OLD daytimes on the B8 are Legendary, only True Audi Enthusiasts will know.

I much prefer the previous iteration in terms of exterior design. The grille and tail are the same disaster as with the new 4 series.
