Hey I'm amazed that we had a call like this. Because my cousin thinks and lives exactly like this lady (even the part where he paid 90% of his high value home already; except that he travels every few months instead of not travelling for many years then just quit everything to travel like this lady). I've always felt that it's strange, could never convince him, and wondered what advice the Ramsey team would give for this situation.

There is absolutely no way THIS woman paid off a 700k condo on 50k yearly salary. She must have bought it for 100k and it appreciated or she inherited it.

It’s insane that the Canadian taxpayer paid her unemployment because she quit her job because she was “over it.”

When you meet a seemingly smart, good looking woman with potential who isn't married... this is why. The crazy oozes out after a little while.

In Canada you typically can’t collect EI after quitting (with few exceptions) so her story isn’t lining up.
Suspect it was a mutual separation from her employer that she is presenting as quitting. Or she is fraudulently claiming EI.

To be blunt, you are of an age where you will be less and less employable,l and also likely to suffer from health issues. The housing market could fold. If you are willing to take a lower salary, and have the interest, work for a garden center or party planner, etc. Rent out a room in your condo if allowed. Pay off your home. Take trips with a friend and split costs. Life is more fun without financial worries.
