I worked as Security Police at Fairchild AFB and we had special weapons and B-52 bombers on 15 minute ground alert, both sides of the taxiway had a sign of 6 foot by four foot explaining it was unauthorized to attempt to enter the restricted area, and at the bottom of the sign it stated "use of deadly force is authorized, we had an elderly gentleman drive through the taxiway, we had several guns pointed at him and threatened to use the M-60 machine gun to disable the motor of his car. No shots were fired, however that man said I have never had so many guns pointed at me. However someone goofed because the guy should have never made it to the flightline!!
