I got me my Oris Aquis Upcycle after watching this video. Amazing brand , amazing watch. I love it more than my Omega Seamaster Aquaterra and others that I have. For me , one of the best brands for the money.

I loved my limited edition Oris Aquis but sold it because too many others came to the market and I could not buy them all so I moved away from the brand to scale down my collection and restricted it to titanium watches, but Oris makes great watches, much underrated

Me and close friend got a 7610 model in 2008.
We both feel proud as every time we meet we have same watch. Still working although it needs maintenance.

This past Christmas I gifted myself a brand new Oris Big Pilot. I like the brand very much and have wanted to buy one for quite some time. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I really enjoy these factory tours to get a taste of the rich history that some of these brands have.

As we know and you know, their manufacture was previously manual, like goldsmithing, and watches at that time were cheap and several countries produced them.. Today, the manufacture of handmade watches has become based on industrial robots and automatic molds, which helped watchmakers overcome several difficult stages in the industry. It was necessary for these watches to be cheaper than the imaginary prices whose prices reached the price of gold. Also, the new generations of People and young people do not want to own wristwatches because there are many alternatives, the most important of which is the mobile phone, which has become a constant companion for people and has all the features that one can do without in owning a wristwatch. I have acquired several wristwatches since the beginning of the sixties in Iraq, the most famous of which was Olma. Falka.. Rolex.. Omega.. Bourne Bettina.. Sur.. During the mid-seventies, Japanese watches entered our doors with the widest doors and cheapest prices, all of them automatic, including Orient.. Seiko... Casio.. And during the eighties of the last century, models came to us. Of the digital electronic watches, which are also Japanese... including Casio... Seiko... and other models... but today, the majority of people are not looking to buy manual watches, as I said, and there are many alternatives... As for collectors, they are certainly not looking to know the time, but they are obsessed In collecting precious and expensive types of hand watches as amateurs in this field.. Several years ago, I was enamored by the Big Crown Pointer Date lineup when I first discovered it. I've been waiting to purchase one and did so just this last week (stainless steel with a blue dial). It brings me an extra bit of joy waiting for my watch to arrive in the mail after having watched this. Seeing that Oris is an unpretentious company with an ethos centered around joy and connecting with people is hear warming. Nice job.

This is an impressive video. The independence and innovation is one reason why I bought a Propilot X while in Lucerne in June. After three months, the watch stopped working. I went to a local AD and it was sent for repair at the authorized repair center in the USA, The Watchmaker in Stoneham MA. After receiving an initial email saying the watch was received and approved for warranty, nothing has been updated on the repair. It has been almost 3 months. With the cost of this watch, this is unacceptable.

I personally went to Oris in Hölstein to ask them to repair a watch from the 1920s.
they are unable to do it as it was painted with the radioactive paint. They even took out a counter to show me it was radioactive.

not sure why they said the can service most vintage watches whereby most vintage watches do contain such paint

oris ? Naaaaa thanks , they are just trying to make big money with Average watches , the Price quality Ratio is not ok , if you ask me , but there are enough People who buy into this Swiss Made hype .

Great video. Between my wife and I we have 3 Oris watches. In the somewhat reasonable level of Swiss watchmaking, Oris stands alone for value and innovation. I love seeing the passion and creativity that goes into their entire product line.

I was exited to see they you visited Oris but annoyed as hell after watching you. You clearly are not the person to have a nice conversation with. The CEO looks you in the eye and tells you about stuff with passion and sometimes little jokes but you keep standing like an emotionless pedestal and quickly change the subject, getting to the next question without giving any reaction to the man. It’s upsetting. You talk like this is an interview rather than a conversation.

I am not into that Kermit the Frog watch, it looks like a cheap Timex watch

I still had my 1999 Oris Artelier Worldtimer till this day. Awesome 36.5mm watch and still keep very good time eventhough never been service. Love the brand...has been with me for the past 24 years ago and counting.❤

Here in my country my grandma bought an Oris, a table clock in the 50s, and she given to me, for 3 years I want an Oris Aquis for myself.

Most "Oris" watches are fakes coming out of India. I contacted their support about this issue after becoming totally fed up with the flood of counterfeit Oris watches shamelessly and openly sold through eBay. Never got a response, nobody at Oris or eBay seems to care, so no. I'm off it. As much as I like their watches. They don't seem to care for their brand all that much.

J ai acheté 4 Oris avec calibre 400. Des l achat j ai constaté que elles avaient des défauts, aiguilles qui sautent dès que l on repousse la couronne, beaucoup de retard, très sensible… j ai informé Oris qui m a répondu que c était normal. 3 ans après la marque reconnaît un défaut. J ai envoyé mes montres en sav j attends le retour afin de savoir si Oris va corriger le défaut reconnu… pour l instant je n acheté plus ces montres à raison.

I wonder about their quality control. The Diver 65 chronograph has THE worst bezel I ever saw. It would be a disaster on a $20 watch. The lume most likely well replicates the misery of the bygone era. Even winding becomes an adventure. On the positive side it has cured me from acquiring heritage style watches. I don't mind their other models.

The crown on my Oris fell off after 2-years of use, Oris wont sell watch repair shops a new crown so I have to get a generic crown. The watch never kept as good time as my much cheaper Tissot PRS=516. The Oris is in the junk drawer, the Tissot is on my wrist.
