When I was a little kid, my parents wasted $25 on a "wind turbine" kit for me to build
It was a permanent magnet DC motor, a fan blade, and a tiny LED to plug directly into the terminals of the motor

I would've been far happier with a lego wind turbine and a couple of gears to learn ratios with

hold on, if a wind turbine input is connected to a wint turbine output. wouldn't that be an infinite power source?
(ofc you would need some starting wind)

make a custom railroad track using these! You can use the studs in the middle of the lego larger rails to turn it.

Got me thinking.... I wonder what my neighbors will say when I build my energy storage tower (not with lego, though) in the garden...?
