That's the American court system, especially in democratic run states. I can assure you the police are as frustrated as everyone else. Especially since we have to bare the brunt of all the hate for the failures of the court and corrections systems.

I thought this was a twenty minute video, just realized I watch fifty minutes instead that was so interesting, and yes there is a most dangerous game movie from the 50s haha

I seriously love how much you reference "Mindhunter"

(I worked on season 1 as Jonathan's stand in, and played a Crime Scene reporter in several episodes.)

David NEVER should have abandoned season 3 for other projects. We were all sad, believe me.

"You're an adult man get over it."

I was bullied in high school, and the girls made it very clear they wanted nothing to do with me. I am now an adult man in a good relationship, but to this day I can still remember the look of disgust my highschool crush had on her face when she discovered that I liked her. That shit cuts deep.
I'm not in anyway saying that is an excuse for killing, but telling someone to "Get over it" is the exact dismissive mentality that causes men to bottle up their emotions, not talk about their problems and not seek help for those mental issues because men are told repeatedly that nobody gives a fuck about their problems.

Thanks for the lack of empathy Simon.

I hate the argument that 'oh I killed them because women rejected me' because it puts the onus on women to say yes to creepy men lest they go murdering because their precious feelings were hurt, rather than saying 'fuck off you creep' because they're not unlikely to murder you (and women who do get murdered 'shouldn't've gone with him anyway, so it's her fault')

I don’t like hunting at all of any kind. I know people who hunt animals for food but I know I wouldn’t be able to do that myself. I struggle with any type of suffering. I can’t imagine how much terror those women felt as he hunted them. He’s such a pathetic human.

Maybe I’m a little off but I’m a hunter and the fact that this dude blindfolded these girls then claimed to hunt them just messes with my head. You shoot deer that can see. That’s some beyond psycho shit there.

People move to Alaska because after living there for 12 months, they start paying you dividends for each family member you have. So...they pay you to live there in a way.

Not gonna lie, I don't like the idea of "handsome, charismatic" actors playing real-life serial killers in movies. Take Zac Efron for example, people are gonna watch that movie and associate handsome, charismatic Efron with Ted Bundy and it's like ffs, do we REALLY need more weirdos associating positive qualities with that POS?

To answer a question that seems to be consistently coming up... the US legal/criminal system has little care for women and children. As far as women go, the horrific things that happen to us frequently get chalked up to our own fault... we wore clothes that "asked for it" or other such victim blaming literal cop-outs.

Was telling my dad about this story after watching this episode. I said "The Butcher Baker" and my dad whips around and said "I met him!"
My dad worked with youth getting them placed in internships and apprenticeships. He helped a teenage boy get an apprenticeship at his bakery.
My dad only met with this guy once for about 20 minutes, but given his notoriety remembers him as a skinny, kinda short, socially awkward man. My dad struggled to describe his demeanor, but concluded "He had shit social skills." which makes sense given... everything.
My uncle also met him, but that's way less surprising given my uncle also met Israel Keyes during his time working as a prison guard up here.
