Thanks mate.
ОтветитьSeiko nh35 can be brought with 60 dollars something. So what's the point in servicing a Seiko 5. And is it really necessary. I've heard that Seiko 5s are kinda more reliable and all
ОтветитьSome movements are cheap enough to just replace. For everything else, regular servicing is always cheaper than it is to defer and end up have to replace worn pivots and gear assemblies. A Rolex 3135 is a few hundred to service, but replacing a worm pivot starts at a few hundred plus the required servicing
ОтветитьA watchmaker many years ago told me a timepiece does not require service until it no longer keeps good time. I have this to be true even with expensive timepieces.
ОтветитьRM needs to be serviced every 18 months😂
ОтветитьBest dress/everyday wear under 300$
Shouldnot be quartz
Not a dive
Can u help me bro??please
In my country, our local watch repairers are a lot cheaper for servicing 😅. It starts from around 2$ for quartz movement. And for mechanical watches not much more expensive I think.
ОтветитьThat's why I love quartz movement. I have a citizen promaster sky, eco drive, radio controlled, zero maintenance for more than 15 years, anf very accurate. My Atlantic worldmaster automatic watch is in the drawer for years, never serviced.
ОтветитьGood video. That's what I like about Seiko 4R35/36 movements. I can just change it for $50. 😊
Ответитьi just got a seiko srpd53k1, in how much time should it be serviced? and how much will it cost?
ОтветитьEVERY WATCH NEEDS A SERVICE
😅 me looking at my vintage seiko that runs perfectly after 40 years
I have a 65 speedmaster that has never been serviced, Im scared to service it and having to pay almost as much as buying a new one
Ответитьthis is why mechanical watches are for dopes.
ОтветитьIt's funny that in a video about servicing watches for couple of $100, almost all watches featuring are the ones with calibers so cheap that no servicing is really justified.
Ответить2004 Submariner. Never been serviced. Keeps perfect time
ОтветитьI have many Seiko watches that are more than 50 years old and work normally without any service, unlike Swiss watches when you open them, everything inside is white and clean. So It's still unknown. on the other hand, I live in new york where there are simply no watchmakers, they have died out as a class. Batteries are changed by Bukhara shoemakers and this is the whole service, and you still need to look for it. in watch shops they tell you that they only work under warranty, and even under warranty they don’t repair watches, but simply change or give money back. in jewelry stores they tell you: leave the watch, we will show our master then we will tell you how much it will cost, which is also not suitable for more than one watch lover. So in my opinion it is the lack of watch service that will lead to the fact that the watch will simply disappear. Let's think - I once saw a Seiko 5 watch in a very provincial Walmart for only 30 something dollars. Do you think I will pay 100 something dollars for the service? stupid question, of course not, even in cases with expensive watches today there is a problem with the service, a lot of people fly to another state to service their rolex sad that's all
Ответитьthat analogy only works in the USA. Every other country on earth does not charge for a health check but does for a watch service.
ОтветитьLol. Shows a $100 watch that you will never service.
Ответить$20 in cebu Phillippines. I had it done and watched it in the mall. Took 2 hours and was cool.
ОтветитьThe oil does get old and thicker around 10yr mark, especially if you're not wearing it! This is called tribology, so wear your watch, or you'll pay sooner!
Ответить2002 SKX009J cost £110 to be serviced at Seiko HQ here in the UK. Super accurate for the first 6 weeks, now starting to fade. I reckon on a service every 2 years to keep it acceptable. But then it’s an old, low cost watch.
ОтветитьCan download a free timegrapher from Android play ... It does not show amplitude but it does show regularity and error. Can use it to adjust your watch to show the right time. And when your hairspring has no adjustment left and still runs slow - get your watch serviced...
Ответить🙄👍😱🔥🐐🤟🏻
ОтветитьThis is why i like movements with lower beatrates like older Seiko 5s and Vostoks. Many are working fine after 30 plus years! Plus if you wear many in rotation that is definitely going to increase the time until the next service.
ОтветитьQuick question. Is a solar watch a good idea. I’m looking to but timex expedition solar.
ОтветитьDepends on watch, some its cheaper to put a new movement nh35 is example
ОтветитьIf anyone posses the discretionary income to buy Breitling, Rolex and others.....well $200 to $800 is just pocket change......
Stick to Citizen, Casio, Seiko, Orient, Parnis.....
Just go quartz.
Less expensive up front, keeps far better time, no need to reset every time you don't wear it for a few days, and far less expensive to service. A no brainer.
So if you're mechanical watch cost 300 to 400$, better off buying a new one. It makes no sense to service it!
ОтветитьBuy a g shock 😂 and don't worry 😊 about servicing
ОтветитьOne of my friends dad is watchmaker. So I asked him about servicing period for Seiko 5 automatics. Guess what he said. There is no service required till it mulfunctions. 😂 I have exact watch for 8 years without any service and it works flawlessly.
ОтветитьI have a seiko srpj45. Ill just buy a new 4r36 movement for 50 euros😂
ОтветитьIt's funny because the '52 Bulova I rescued from my dad's trinket box, which had no strap, and that I'd certainly never seen him wear in my life, runs better than the new Fossil automatic I got as a gift, and the 2 "refurbished" Seiko 5s i got on ebay, despite not been serviced in at least 30 years, likely more. I guess they just don't make them like they used to lol
ОтветитьOn entry-level watches with cheap movements it is often better to change to a new movement rather than have it serviced.
