Omg I think it worked! I can see my files again and the desktop bg isn't the default. The log in screen was back to how it was and there was no "preparing windows" when signing in. I thought I broke something on my pc, even though it was fine before I rebooted it. I for sure thought my files were in limbo. But holy hell, what an annoying feature windows 11 has...
Anyway you're a lifesaver! Thank you so much!!!
