The more movies hollywood craps, the more I go back to the classics. Recently, I started watching Ready Player One and Alita Battle Angel. After about fifteen minutes, I stopped watching both movies. I just couldn't give a crap about any of the characters or anything that was going on. It was like watching Toy Story. Only with Toy Story, it was an animated feature. Alita and Ready Player One are animated features trying to be live action. I didn't buy a second of it. I'll watch Duel and The Blues Brother all day long. CGI heavy movies? Eh. No thanks.

Short time was a big surprise of how enjoyable it was. I was home sick from school and it was on HBO or showtime and nothing else was.

I was 10 years old when I saw Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry at the drive-in theater, and I cried at the end, not because they died, but because the Dodge Charger exploded!

The first Gone in 60 seconds, only1 mustang was used up until the last jump. ( the driver had a crushed spine after that jump) The car still exists today, with his family owning the car. It still starts and drives.

It's hard to take modern movies seriously,
Just video game cut scenes with loads of fast cuts and flashing colours,
They truly are fkkn shht,
It's like they are lazily made for a pre-programmed audience of 14-30 year old bunch of idiots

Duel is a low budget, high suspense, nail biting cinematic masterpiece bit of storytelling.
Also, you had to drive an iron stake thru those MOPAR slant 6 engines to kill them; the rest of the car was a utter heap.

I'd like to throw an honorable mention to the beginning of Beverly Hills Cop with the Semi hauling a trailer of cigarettes being chased through some tight streets resulting in some impressive damage.

To really appreciate the chase in Bullitt you have to see it in a theater. Your ass will come of the seat during the jumps. I was 17 and saw this several times just for the car chase at 50 cent weekend matinees.

Footage of the ending of "Dirty Mary & Crazy Larry" was used in the opening of "The Fall Guy" TV series. Also, The ending of "Duel" was used in an episode of "The Incredible Hulk" TV series. I read/heard that Spielberg was not happy about that.

Smokey & The Bandit made the Trans-Am an icon, even the '82 version in S&tB2 was a badass ride, then they went and changed the entire design in '83 when Knight Rider debuted. I think I might be the only person on Earth who hated the way KITT looked and the new Trans-Am trying be look futuristic. Pop up headlights, wtf were they thinking?

Made even more impressive by the fact the cars used in these movies were heavy, had not-so-great brakes and handling, but still took a beating and kept going with skilled drivers.

I only watched Mad Max Furiosa and smokey and Bandit. I know the movie names Blues Brothers and Bullit. From Spotify I know some Blues Brothers music, they are standing in a best of all time playlist with at least one song called: Sweet home Chicago.🎉😅 The movie bullit I know because the movie name is iconic and I know the bullit car from car programs on tv, where a tribute car is built. I never saw those two movies. A non-CGI movie I watched is the latest Top gun, further I don't know. 😢😢

Ok, I loved Bullit as much as the next guy. However, the car chase scene was "good", not Great. The original Gone in 60 Seconds BY FAR exceeded Bullit in every Category. It was a Masterpiece of crashed Mopars. A better car chase in EVERY category.

I hope they keep doing them for real. At least as real as todays habits and expectations let go through.
