Benny Goodman, or Artie Shaw, makes it sublime.

worm handler: No it was Teddy Wilson and his orchestra that was performing in the background not Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller

Back up personnel included Benny Goodman here and I think Teddy Wilson. Wish I could find these early recordings the bands were top notch and Billie's voice was still fresh and not sapped by drugs and booze.

I guess the first Billie Holiday song I ever heard. I worked in a record store and knew she was important so I found one of the early greatest hits releases on vinyl. 1973 or so. This was track one. Never looked back.

This is my favorite and goes out to my mom Amanda Scott at a nursing now facing some health challenges. She's going to a medical appointment today. She saw Ms. Billie Holiday in person at The Savoy in Harlem as a teenager. 8/7/19. (Wed.) 7:45 a.m. 🌟

Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do
Ooh, what a little moonlight
Can do to you
You're in love
Your hearts fluttering
All day long
You only stutter
'Cause your poor tongue
Just will not utter
The words, I love you
Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do
Wait a while
Till a little moonbeam
Comes peepin' through
You'll get bored
You cant resist him
And all you'll say
When you have kissed him is
Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do
Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do
Ooh, what a little moonlight
Can do to you
You're in love
Your hearts fluttering
All day long
You only stutter
'Cause your poor tongue
Just will not utter
The words, I love you
Ooh, what a little
Moonlight can do
Wait a while
Till a little moonbeam
Comes peepin' through
You'll get bored
You cant resist him
