Prodigy owners to Staccato owners after swapping out a bunch of parts on their gun to "improve" it: "I feel bad for you."
Staccato owners: "I don't think about you at all."
I've got a staccato P and 2 prodigy's as well as a few other 2011s. For comparison only of the staccato to the 5 inch prodigy which I have a lot of upgrades too I prefer the prodigy. I got the prodigy used for $1050 with a tool less guide rod, optic plate, and extended slide stop. I added a Cheely steel grip, EGW kit, Cheely magwell, Atlas Shielded safeties, Red dirt trigger and eventually an Extended firing pin. I searched around and got everything used except the safeties and firing pin used or second hand. I have less than $1950 into mine but if everything was new it would be maybe $2500 so about on par price wise to the base P. The P I have is the chrome one so I like the finish better and the fit is without a doubt tighter. But the prodigy as is right now is hands down the better shooting gun. I had some light strikes at first but the firing pin fixed that and now its 100%. The prodigy recoil impulse is better for me and the dot tracks better, the trigger is much better, the cheely grip is way better than a stock Staccato, The shielded atlas safeties are way better, the magwell is better so yeah In my opinion the heavily upgraded prodigy is a better gun in every way than the staccato other than the the fit itself and the finish. but if you're building an LO gun the prodigy is the way to go.
ОтветитьI'd REALLY love to see what you think of the Springfield Echelon and Canik METE SFT. These are more affordable guns (low and mid-range), and I really want to know if you encounter issue with a high round count on these feature heavy but lower priced guns (mostly the Echelon).
ОтветитьMac 9 DS!!
ОтветитьChamber to tight
ОтветитьI’ve never heard of a stock prodigy.
ОтветитьThe prodigy will do what the staccatos do after you change most spring out and a lot of other parts. Used to work in a gun store and sold a few of them. Never saw one work with factory parts
ОтветитьFk Springfield
ОтветитьI grabbed one new and the right side safety is walking itself out smh!!! It shoots great other than that.
ОтветитьYessir!!!!!!! Get the standard 5” no comp needed
ОтветитьBuy a platypus and troll all the fan girls!! Let it rain with the sig money
ОтветитьWhat about TISAS? They are REAL bugety
ОтветитьI'd love to see Ben run a 5" Bul Armory SAS II PRO and compare it to the XC. As a Bul fan, we wait for him to get his hands on one.
ОтветитьBull army man get one
ОтветитьTry the Echelon instead
ОтветитьIf you buy that trash you're gay
ОтветитьGet a turkey 2011 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
ОтветитьYou have to get the cerakote out from between the slide and the frame.
ОтветитьWhat about Bul Armory?
ОтветитьBUY the prodigy. Put an infinity ignition kit in it and let us know Ben!!
ОтветитьBen has acute GAS and there's no cure.
ОтветитьYou could look into the Tisas Double Stack 9mm. It’s less than $900 and I would honestly say it really is just as good as a Prodigy. In terms of comparing the Prodigy/Tisas DS to a Staccato, that just never made sense to me unless you’re truly hand fitting every part in the Prodigy/Tisas which in that case.. can’t possibly be cheaper than just getting a Staccato or BUL. Either that or they’re really only saving a couple hundred bucks and also removing the warranty.
ОтветитьI really hate Springfield. Not only are their guns junk, but they’ve done a lot of bad anti-2A political stuff.
ОтветитьHad issues with the Agency Arms optic plate as well. Switched to the C&H plate and haven’t looked back.
ОтветитьFeels like the Prodigy is pretty well known at this point. Why not go all the way to the bargain basement with a $700 Tisas or MAC 9 DS?
ОтветитьI have the 4.25 and couldn't be happier with it
Ответить100% get the ported model, prodigy! It would be excellent to hear your take on ported 2011s.
ОтветитьHis backyard reminds me of a college bar we used to frequent back in the day 😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьI agree you should get a prodigy. I got an early release and had to send it back once. Mine has been great since I got it back. I’d also love to see you get an echelon and run it through the wringer. I have both and find them to be great. I also have glocks, Sigs and smiths. I’m not a brand loyalist and find I really like the latest releases from Springfield
ОтветитьBro...The Platypus, not the Prodigy!
ОтветитьGo prodigy... Tune it after 1000rds plus... Mine runs like a sewing machine
ОтветитьWhat about bull armory’s 2011.. what’s your thought on there options compared to staccato and prodigy
ОтветитьThe prodigy is good handgun, sure there are more expensive and "better" options but it's available and hits a price point.
Personally, I'm not sure why Bularmory gets slept on. The tac Pro is amazing for under 3k. Tough to beat imo
people are way too tribal. It's okay for other people to buy a different gun than you.
ОтветитьCalls a bunch of people nerds, then immediately cuts the video off. Love it. 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI think there are two types of "interest" here. There's "interest in the platform," and "interest in buying" and the two go hand-in-hand. I like driving fast cars. When I was younger I spent way too much on the cars I drove, and now that I'm older and have more responsibilities I can no longer do that. I love Lamborghinis, but there's no chance that I'll ever drive one so I don't pay too much attention to them. I spend more time reading about hybrid cars and crossover SUVs that get good gas-mileage. If the price of a Lambo were to drop to $30k then I would definitely be more interested in buying one, but that's not to say that I like exotic cars any more or less because of it, it's just a better use of my time to concern myself with things that are within the realm of possibilities, and the price of a Prodigy put's it there.
ОтветитьDidnt realize you did a vid on this already. Disregard a previous comment i left.
ОтветитьGet the comped one, I have it and its been flawless. I'd be curious to hear what a pro thinks of it.
ОтветитьThose that claim that somehow the Prodigy is better than a Staccato and proclaim that it runs better is clearly blind and lying to himself. I don't get why some people try to troll high end custom guns or more expensive guns and somehow believe that their purchase suspersedes others that decide to purchase a Staccato. Buy what you can afford, train accordingly, learn the firearm nomenclature, practice, practice and practice because at the end is not the firearm but the end user that supersedes the firearm platform. A shitter shooter will be a shitter shooter with or without a high end firearm.
ОтветитьProdigy makes sense if you don't go throw a bunch of mods on it which bring it to the price of a factory Bul or Staccato. But some people like to tinker and it is a good 2011 to start that type of project.
ОтветитьBought the 4.25” Comp, and has run flawlessly.
ОтветитьI have a prodigy that I replaced all the internals. Shoots fine for the money. I later bought a masterpiece arms DS9. Love it. No complaints, but it's also twice as expensive
Ответить3 months late to the video, but 3500 rounds and had my first failure on my prodigy during a USPSA comp. The front leg of the ejector sheared causing a jam. Cleared the jam, ran the rest of the match. Discovered it during cleaning that evening. A little worrisome, but i run my firearms pretty hard and the occasional failure isnt unexpected. Its back at springfield getting repaired and tuned now.
ОтветитьI got the 5inch had some issues with it… will hopefully get to put it through the paces next year. Be nice to see ya get a standard 4.25 or 5 inch
ОтветитьInteresting yes...worth it?..ehhh...😂
ОтветитьProdigy also has MIM parts...why?
ОтветитьShould i trade my TRP for a prodigy?
ОтветитьAs an owner of neither, but thinking about a 1911 or 2011, the Prodigy vs Staccato fight seems to be the biggest battle in the realm, and it doesn't even make sense, financially. Cool to see your matter of factness. Get what you like that fits your budget and hand...then have fun! Ford vs. Ferrari never dies, i guess.
ОтветитьThe prodigy to get is the Ed Brown Fueled lol.
Ответить
