Impressive !
Ответитьthat is the original derailleur i have one of these its my turbo bike might just try and do what you have done
Ответитьwhat is the paint thickness tool if you could link it that would be great also does it work on carbon frames t5hanks for rthe vids
ОтветитьInspired me to get that old 90s bike in my shed cleaned and restored. Despite its age, the Shimano SIS still changes perfectly and everything spins smoothly so I think it’s lasted well despite the layer of grime
ОтветитьGood cleaning job... but what about wheel hubs and headset controls and greasing ?
ОтветитьGood video 👍buying a dawes tomorrow as a project going to do the same thing
ОтветитьDawes were a shite brand so not worthy of any restoration.
ОтветитьYou are doing an amazing job! I am watching your channel from the middle of the ocean from a cruise ship!
ОтветитьAs you will no-doubt be aware, Dawes are considered something of a budget brand these days (though back in the day, they were very much more mid-table) having said that, I can confirm that they make a perfectly acceptable/robust modern steed, not super-light, but nonetheless a really capable all-rounder. Chapeau Sir, another earthbound 'flying-machine' saved from landfill.
ОтветитьAmazing job
ОтветитьAmazing what patience and soapy water can do 😁👍 lovely!
ОтветитьThat was very satisfying - great job!
ОтветитьAmazing transformation 👍
ОтветитьWhy don’t you consider a small rotary pad polisher instead of a cloth with the T cut, might speed up polishing up a little?
ОтветитьGreat work guys
ОтветитьAmazing video!
Btw. why didn't you remove bottom bracket from the frame for the clean-up?
Learning loads from you. Thanks for the videos.
Ответитьreaaly interesting, thanks..
ОтветитьI can recommend Brillo pads for cleaning tan walls, works a treat 👍
ОтветитьI loved the road bikes made by Peugeot during the late 80's. My favourite Dawes bike was the Super Galaxy tourer. I used to own a Dawes Wildcat mountain bike in the late 80's, bright yellow with red cable outers 😊
Ответитьvery therapeutic to watch this.
what a beautiful bike
amazing job. well done!
I enjoyed so much this video! Great detailing and impressive results. It's actually a new bike
ОтветитьGood work well done quality finish
ОтветитьExcellent jobs (both the bike and the filming and editing)!
It is a freewheel, though. Not a free-hub.
The bike came out amazing!
ОтветитьLove the rim/tyre restoration + wire wool on the headset. Need to do that to my daily rider: Dawes Linear 531 with Shimano RX100, Mavic rims and a rusty headset
ОтветитьBrilliant love those kind of bikes 🚴🏼
Ответитьvery nice, thanks man
ОтветитьSuper job 👏 👌 🙌 👍
ОтветитьHad a Dawes Galaxy tourer for nearly 20 years, should have brought it to you for a rebuild!!
ОтветитьBeauiful work!
ОтветитьThat No nonsense degreaser is a game changer from screw fix. Brilliant value and works brill on parts.
ОтветитьIm new to bike restoration, i notice you didn’t take the bearing out of the wheels .
This may sound a daft question. We’re do you decide to strip the bearing and we’re do you decide to leave .
Wheels are always my worry .
And videos you have done that you have done you can recommend me to watch
How much does that bike cost?
Ответитьwhy does the uk install the front break right and the rear break left ?
Ответитьfantastic job, new sub 🙂
ОтветитьHappy it sold so fast!
