I Gave Mafia 3 Another Chance...

Mafia 3 has a great story but the gameplay is so boring like i Couldn't finish 20 percent even though i was hooked. Gotta get back to it

I had that glitch happen to me too with the long loading time and such, if you bought the game on steam you have to verify your game files to fix it I think

Jesus H. I love your stuff, but man O man. Run it on a bleedin' console like it's supposed to be run, and from day 1 you'd have had no issues. Yes, missions get repetitive, but the overarching storyline is beyond thrilling - brings the hairs up at certain points. If you give it a chance. All these years later and I still play it end-to-end for visceral feels & thrills.

This is one of my favourite games. The atmosphere. It’s a Time Machine. You keep complaining about the racism. I think we can all agree that is *very bad*. That is the way it was then in places. So deal with it.

If you are too young to have a sense of that tone watch these movies:

3. Bullitt. 1968
4. Easy Rider. 1969

You will see the filters employed on the lenses. You will see the world settings. You will get a small sense of day to day life. The economy. The social perception given the technology at hand. Also, you will see absolutely incredible movies. The soundtrack is indeed amazing. Music back then was real. No cheating in the studio. If you couldn’t do it in person, you couldn’t do it in the studio. 😊 Anyway, fantastic game. If you like the vibe, you will enjoy the shot out of this. Even if it is repetitive. Where else can one drive a fastback and not have to pay for it?

Wiretapping did it for me as it showed all enemies on the map in the district; i hate this as i find every game boring when you can see every enemy on the map.

I only played the game for the first time just over a month ago and it still has the glitches it had 7 years ago, i have every trophy including the dlc's bar 2 of them, the new boss and no loose ends trophies, I've killed all racket bosses and spared 16 racket bosses, after 4 playthroughs i never got the trophies and i did everything i was supposed to do 😡 frustrating as f@

Actually, no. The portrayal of racism is exaggerated to the point of absurdity. It's not historically accurate.
It has shit like the KKK holding slave auctions. In 1968. Lol.
By the late 60s, the landmark Civil Rights legislation had already been passed and been around for a few years. Schools and other public spaces were already desegregated and widespread overt racism was no longer a thing. If it was set in 1960, sure, there'd be plenty of Whites Only and Colored signs in businesses and public facilities, but not 1968.

Lee Atwater alluded to this in his 1981 interview on the Republican Southern Strategy. In 1954, one could appeal to Southern white voters by saying "n*gger, n*gger, n*gger", but by '68, the political message had to be toned down and more abstract.

my fave thing about mafia 3 is that the missions are kinda realistic in the sense that theres no big ending, no flashy stuff, just boom done with each take over, just like real life... idk i think they did these things like this on perpose, in a good way, in my opinon

I enjoyed it. The story was great but mafia 2 has the best story and even the first mafia game had better story. I am glad Vito was in mafia 3 however this game didn't feel like a mafia game to me. It was not a story about trying to get on top but revenge and get on top on the way. Repetitive side missions to unlock main missions was a drag. Was an okay game

Maybe it’s my OCD, but I can’t stand the fact Lincoln can show up, kill 50 men…and there’s no follow up to it. I’d like to drive by the area and see the coroners cleaning up the bodies…or hear a police report about it. Instead, 2 missions later Lincoln is back at the same exact spot like nothing happened. Breaks immersion.

I disagree about this being at all accurate to the 1960s Louisiana because regardless of the business having a no black people sign you still can only rob the place. It’s a world where if anyone is even racist slightly to you you can blow their brains out without a second thought. The first big point of the game is when Lincoln has to move through a racism themed amusement park to kill someone. The whole park is calling the black race savage as a black man goes around slaughting whoever stands in his way. Honestly imo this serves more to mute the idea that this is realistic and speaks more loudly to the developers making a game where racists are punished and every racist person is a dumb southerner stereotype

you a fool man game is extremely entertaining best story and character of any mafia and red dead plays better and still today i play daily since release i have over 5k hours on this gsme and still find nee spots nothing will ever be better than this game cyberpunk and gta 4 come close but mafia 3 id definitely the best game ever made

I played Mafia 1 and Mafia 3 and I gotta say, I enjoyed both but Mafia 3 catched me way more... I hope we get a 5th part of the game

I disagree I think it’s a really great game yes it’s got problems but I love this game so much it’s set in New Orleans in the south and Lincoln clay is a really great character in my opinion this is a revenge story a punisher story with real life events in history I’m ashamed too say not great part of history in my opinion rasium is abuse and in this world today people don’t care about people I really enjoy your videos a d respect your opinion but I’ve played this dmgame more then 10 times and I keep coming back too it the world open world the brutal combat and the music the culture in this time keeps me coming back 10/10 in my opinion

I really enjoyed the game. Found it pretty fun. I also liked Lincoln's character. The part I didn't really understand is that the game is pretty focused on the feeling of "being a black man" in the south where racism was just part of society. But then they mention Lincoln is Dominican and white. So, they made him mixed race, he's not black like they focused the story on

The junction boxes don't open up activities all they do is allow you to see enemies through walls when using intel vision and they also reveal collectibles and fuses on the map within the area its just kinda bad design that it takes 3 fuses to wire tap a junction box and on top of that the fuses are scattered all over the map and theyre put in obscure places most of the time forcing you to stop and climb on top of a roof it would've been better if you can buy them at a store since the stores serve no purpose to begin with or if you have to find them in the map at least put them in places that's less obscure

I recently played the Mafia trilogy on PS5. I loved the stories and characters (and that music!), and even in Mafia 3, I enjoyed the gameplay. What disappointed me the most was the technical performance. Mafia 2 DE crashed repeatedly and I had some bad glitches/bugs. In Mafia 3, nearly every time I took over a racket, the game would reload in a first-person camera and I'd have to restart the checkpoint. One time, the audio loaded, but no picture. Most of the time, these were easy enough to fix, but none of my other games perform as wonky, so it just made it more frustrating. Sad these bugs/glitches were never ironed out. Mafia 1 DE ran great, but the other two lacked polish

That's sadly Uncharted 4 with AMD graphics cards, I bought it super excited but it crashes right after the prologue and you have to have a certain driver update to have it run

mafia 3 being my very first "open world" experience was probably for the best. the graphics, story, and immersion were mind-blowing for my 8th grade self

One thing I really liked about Mafia III was if a npc hit me with there car I can unload a clip into them. Unlike GTA the shots go where I want them too.

I became a mafia fan over night.
after beating both Mafia 1 and 2 I played 3 with high expectations.
What I expected
Lincoln Clay joining a local Mafia, making drug deals, preforming hiests, getting betrayed, starting in the 60s but ending at the 70s like in the original games and having a change of heart near the end.
What I got.
Punisher if it was made by Ubisoft and CNN.
