Fun Fact: There's a Murloc Demon Hunter that shows up in Legion who helps you during the invasion of Stormheim known as Murgulis, we have no idea why he became a DH and knowing what other Murloc's are capable of i wouldn't be surprised if Murgulis is one of the strongest DH's of all time, like the DH version of Morgl!
(Yes i know Morgl was first & foremost a Hearthstone character, but so was Finley, both of witch where coincidently added to WoW in Legion, just like Murgulis!)

Asking what demon hunters are up to misses a lot of what Illidan said previously.

They don't just "wield that power against demons," they wield the Fel against anyone who would seek to destroy Azeroth: be it demons, old gods, dragons, or Sylvanas loyalists. They're not stupid, they know that just because they stopped THEIR arch nemesis, that doesn't prevent future generations from experiencing the same loss they did, and the most they can do is safeguard against it.

I mean, it makes sense, after losing their homes, going down the darkest path to avenge them, and succeeding, they proceed to watch Teldrassil get completely leveled anyways. To play with the types of plots the bronze dragonflight goes with, the burning of Teldrassil and Sylvanas's rampage might be an essential force in keeping the demon hunters loyal to their cause after the fall of the Legion, and a crucial asset against N'zoth during the war on the Black Empire.

so, let me get this straight. This entire time. we could have had at the very least a passive buff or two abilities from an in-game equivalent of that creature type. Shame. but i guess other class players would complain. Then that would probable open up an absurd amount of ability's given how many demons were in legion. But customization.

funny thing is, there's a battlepet trainer NPC in dragonflight who's a demon hunter who took up pet battling because she wanted to keep busy after the defeat of the legion.

i'd like to see the status of the demon hunters explored more "seriously" ingame at some point, but i thought that was a cute touch.

Really enjoy Demon Hunters from almost every perspective. Gameplay is fun, lore is metal AF, and the designs are badass.

Only downside is most Demon Hunter players are the biggest dickheads you'll ever come across in game

Thats always the thing. Deathknight, demon hunters... Their goal and their reason for beeing there is over.

For deathknight after SL. After Wrath you could argue that the Lich King remains.

But since the Legion is gone and Ilidan lost, it is kinda silly for them just to continoue.

Of course it is a game so to make them, i dont know, killing themself so truly all demons and fell magic is gone, could not be done as they are players character.
