so a new one is coming soon. next month . any idas how good they are?
ОтветитьI had them when thew were known as aftershokz aeropax. Needless to say those were really poor sound quality but these new ones many steps higher in terms of sq
ОтветитьThey are really incredible! Their voice call capabilities are next level as well compared to the newer BoSe Ultra Open their voice calling quality is amazing!!
Ответитьthank you. I wish you talked about how to use the buttons -? Pause? next song ?
ОтветитьI have had these for around 6 months. For me total game changer. They go on in the morning and come off in the evening. Forget they are there...got into the shower a couple of times - just dried with hair dryer on low and all ok. Good situational awareness, listen to pod casts and music...excellent for telephone conversations except in wind...I wear hat, sweat band and glasses when running. At the beginning had some issues with the buttons but that was me not knowing how to work them. I just use them for volume and pausing videos/hang up and answer calls.
5* from my side.
Wich one do you use? or recommend the most?
ОтветитьWhen you’re watching the video while using the product in the video to listen to it😎
ОтветитьThese are so loud and bassy. I was blown away when I first tried them and bought them on the spot.
ОтветитьThe battery drains too fast
ОтветитьThanks for the great review!
ОтветитьThank you for this video
Ответитьhopefully someone can answer.
i have hearing loss. phone calls a nightmare so i have aeropex. they work well enough.
i have never been able to wear earbuds.think canal too small. these seem to just lay in ear and not have to screw into canal like buds.
do you think i would have a problem keeping these in?
So are they not good for music??
ОтветитьI really would only listen to podcast. So not as worried about the bass, etc. Just so long as the quality is good enough to hear! Thoughts on if the original shokz or these of im only listening to podcasts? Country, I don’t use headphones when I run because I live in the country on 2 lane roads with cars flying by 😂 so be able to hear cars coming is something that is important to me!
ОтветитьThis company has absolutely trash customer service. I pity anyone that tries to file a warranty claim with them. Mine has been open for 5 weeks and I still haven't been taken care of.
ОтветитьI have to ask directly...do these actually still retain situational awareness? Or is it compromised for the better sound/on-ear driver? I don't mind the OpenRun (in-ear gives me headaches, plus I mainly run alone at night)...I certainly don't crap on Shokz for offering something a bit different, but it seems like this still fundamentally compromises the degree of situational awareness available. This seems like the On Cloudboom Echo 3 of earbuds.
ОтветитьThanks for the warning I was thinking of getting shokz bone conducting headphones.
Ответитьhave you got a chance to try oladance ows areview on those would be great the claim is there bass is better
Ответить@Kofuzi, you mentioned that you are using noise cancelling headphones? What are you using and how is the fit while running?
Kind regards
I have their chepest bone-conduction pair, the Openmove. Sound quality is horrible, but i only listen to podcasts while running or cycling anyway, and they´re good enough for that. Nice thing about it is that it´s USB-C, the Operuns and the Pros don´t sound that much better, but they have a stupid proprietary cable.
ОтветитьHad since launch - situational hearing good but for several consecutive runs I got runaway volume with a single touch. Blew my ears out and had to yank them off. after that, I only use indoors when not exercising. Bummer.
ОтветитьI really didn’t get along with these on one of my ears. Felt like one was always about to fall out. And 8 hate that.
ОтветитьMaybe I’m just stupid but I couldn’t get them to fit at all in my ears
ОтветитьI loved all the shots of you dying at the end Ko😂, it must’ve been hot!
ОтветитьThe only problem I have with these wrap around things is they are a pain in the tuchus when wearing any kind of glasses.
ОтветитьIt would suck to be racing and having one of them fall off. The headband ones are safer in that regards. Plus now we have two devices that could be out of sync or with different battery charge levels. It would have made sense to offer a headband version that wasn't bone conduction.
ОтветитьBe interested to hear what are your go to headphones Mike
ОтветитьI don’t know if it was just me but I found the controls finicky. There were times where I went to adjust them mid run and accidentally stopped the music. Couldn’t get them to play again so had to take out my phone to resume music. For what it’s worth I wear sunglasses and hats on all of my runs.
ОтветитьI've had mine since release. Love it.
ОтветитьTrying to decide if I should splurge for them... Already own the Openrun Pro mini but I find the volume too low sometimes, specially while running on the beach and listening podcast with the wind and planes landing a few km away... 200€ might be a tad too much...
ОтветитьVideo 2 of requesting a review of the Altra Carbon Tempo
ОтветитьI wish I would have waited and got these. The bands on the other models don’t fit well with my winter hats.
ОтветитьThe main value proposition (for me) for the original Shokz product was to signal to other people that I'm open to being approached for conversation. These don't provide that. In fact, I see absolutely NO advantage of these over my Sonys with "ambient" turned on.
ОтветитьAwesome review. I have always found the bone induction sound quality sub-par and disliked the loop around my sweater, so I end up doing long runs without entertainment. I need to check this OpenFit out!
ОтветитьThanks for the great review! I would love to see a comparison between these and the newest Open Run Pro. I recently purchased the Open Run Pro and I am very impressed by the sound quality with their 9th gen technology. I was on the fence between the Open Run Pro and Open FIt but as a triathlete i went with the bone conduction option for added safety on the bike.
ОтветитьI had the first few pairs of AfterShokz and yes the bass was zero and treble was at 100 but the whole deal was being aware of your surroundings, people coming up from behind you etc.. While i haven't tried these i feel to make the sound better being closer to your ear canal they are probably taking away from that. Ill stick with my jabra elites and Beats for now. Good review
ОтветитьSo I get that the ear canal is physically open, but wouldn’t it be hard to hear other sound while pumping sound directly toward and into the ear canal from the headphones? That’s what I like about the bone conduction ones - the sound from the headphones is coming in differently, leaving the canal unblocked (physically and noise-wise). That way I can both listen to my book and listen for traffic around me.
ОтветитьThanks for this review Ko. I recently lost my Open Run Shokz and been considering these to replace them.
ОтветитьNo physical buttons? No thanks
ОтветитьMake no bones about it, SHOKZ is going boneless like your favorite wingz
ОтветитьYo, what’s going on!!! Long time since we had some earphone reviews 🎧
ОтветитьGood luck when you are running .. you might come back home with just one 😞
ОтветитьFirst?
ОтветитьYoo! Safe travels Ko! 🙌🏾
