Peter Sellers and the rest of the goons are still missed , talented people , you never see homebred talent like these men now ! Peter Sellers , Spike Milligan , Harry Secomne were brilliant together .. natural talents

He was a consummate entertainer. Immensely talented. I can't think of any present day actors or comedians who come even close. He could sing, dance, act, mimic, play multiple musical instruments (he was a superb jazz musician), and write comedy scripts. Most people know him from the Pink Panther films, but some of his early films were masterpieces. He won an Oscar for I'm All Right Jack, and he was nominated for an Oscar (Best British Actor) for Only Two Can Play. My personal favourite PS film is Hoffman, which rarely gets mentioned.

Great to re-watch Sellers being "Sellers"... So little of himself was ever really evident in the interview. Constantly he leapt into Other Characters for refuge.
Those meaningful times he mentioned were always a performance when he was inhabiting another self.
As he said, impossible to live with: a partner would never know who it really was they were meant to be sharing their life with.

Wonderful and a picture of a Britain that has largely gone. I did not realise the windows song was basically about being a pepping tom perv! haha... about half of his impersonations here would 'not be allowed anymore', as they say. even as a leftie myself i find that a bit sad.

I think I watched this. If I remember correctly, this edition of Parkinson ran well over time. It may have been another Sellers interview, but run over time it certainly did.

He was as close to a genius as any actor could be described..2023 and still how he goes from one character to another, this can not be taught ......many have said he was mad in real life ...thank god for madness I say ..RIP

I watched The Pink Panther Strikes again in a Bangor (North Wales) cinema when it first came out. Constant and continuous laughter. There was no let up. No time for you to breath to get over laughing. When I came out of the cinema I, like most of the rest of the audience, was aching with pain from the laughter. It was and remains the funniest film I've ever seen.
