I think you'd like a pair of ducks in your garden, as long as eva would leave them alone you get free slug killers and they don't disturb the plants much.

There is a Swiss recipe called "Aelpler Magrone" that uses pasta, potatoes, cheese and onions - the things shepherds guarding livestock in the mountains over the summer months would bring with them from the valley or grow/ produce while in the mountains. Seems weird at first but actually is quite delicious!

Would love to see a summer follow up of the woodlands. Also how were the strawberries?

this is the first time that i've seen what a hot water tank looks like, i never knew they had an open top like that. is there any reason they are not closed tanks with a lid or something, so that bugs, dirt etc. can't get into the water?

Watching the part with the drippy cold water tank reminded me of our old system….the dripping used to drive me insane! The cold water tank always gave me the creeps

Oh Mr Michael: we used to have 2 fibreglass water tanks in the loft here at our cottage in Cornwall?? (Isn't there now - rising main all the way! 😏)

But my mum saw that they were both open at the top when we moved in decades ago. As she didn't want dust or spiders in either her hot or her cold water, she covered both with some kind of a plastic membrane, don't know the type. But I do know what ahe tied them on round the edges with: old rubber siphon tubing from our old winemaking supplies business! 😏🙂

I got sentimental looking at the empty home, lol. I hated my last apartment but I still got a little teary when I said goodbye to it. It was the first place I lived away from my mom (though I roomed with my sibling and our mom is still in the same city where I am, so it wasn't like I was far from family).

Shout out to this video for helping me sleep through my sleepless nights. I do love actually watching your videos but this one is almost an hour long so it’s a good amount of time to let me listen to your pleasant voices as you talk about any and every little thing. I probably listened to it while drifting off 3 times this week alone

Love the varied content on your channel..... Quick tip from a plumber, the PTFE would be more effective if you put a couple of turns round the old olive on the pipe as opposed to the thread of the new float valve.

You should never drink from the hot tap anywhere. You shouldn't even use it directly in cooking. There can be metal deposits (from the pipes or water heater) or other things that aren't good for you, as a result of the water sitting around for a long time. We use a single water tank for hot water and the common knowledge has always been not to consume it.

What a wonderful video to watch, your resourcefulness is always inspiring and interesting to watch when you have random ingredients. All of those meals? Amazing. That Omelette was definitely my favourite 😍.

It must have been emotional to move from your home - those last minute pictures make me remember when I last moved home, and I always feel emotional myself.

Thank you for letting us see inside your new place! Through you I've gained an interest and a curious curiosity for things I never would have considered before.

re. the header tank behind the panel - If you attach a piece of old garden hose, or similar to the white plastic outflow of the ballcock extending about an inch (2.5cm) below the surface of the water in the tank when full, it should reduce the water noise considerably. Please never stop making videos, I find your content very entertaining, such variety! Your new garden looks great, especially the woodland area (Upper, rear garden wood?)

The garden at the new house is something to be envied, and a whole piece of woodland too!! I can tell it'll be a lot of work but hopefully it'll be very enjoyable (I'll definitely enjoy watching you work on the place and the conservation you'll do). Congrats on the move :))

I hope the house move went well. Thank you for the challenge videos, as it is very surprising what can be achieved by nothing more than a humble pound or two/bit of foraging. I have ordered a foraging book, as I think it should be a skill set everyone should know.

Don't be shy - in the UK it's a BALL COCK, you know it, I know it! 🤭 Loved watching this. Just a thought for the header tank. I'm pretty sure you can get a pipe thingy to shove up the bit the water comes out of that sits under the water line, silent filling. We've had it on a toilet cistern in the past.

BTW, you just grossed me out - my mum always told me 'never drink from the hot water tap, use the drinking water tap in the kitchen'. Did I listen? Of course not!!!!!! That said, I'm still here to tell the tale. Looking forward to new content when you can.

Best wishes in your new home. 🙋‍♂🙋‍♂😉😉
