Each year the record is broken, all river fishing now is by specimen anglers piling bucket fulls of pellets and bait in, as they do on a carp lake. That's why you now have barbell that look like carp, overweight. Obese. How this bodes for the future, I don't know, can morbidly obese fish breed as well as normal weight fish? What happens to the natural food chain in a river, when the only fish are specimen barbell just gorging on pellets, nothing else?

That’s a common carp, barble fins have a bit of orange/red colour..and the barbs would be much bigger..

That’s a real big and rare example, they are in rivers in portugal as well. They don’t do well out of water for more than few minutes unlike carp.
