Sinegan makes waves in Palk Strait

A 14-year-old boy from Theni swam from Dhanushkodi to Talaimannar and then crossed the Palk Strait in 19.45 hours from Talaimannar to Dhanushkodi Arichalmunai.
Neethirajan is from the Theni district and his son is Sinegan (age 14). The boy Sinegan won the gold medal at the 2019 Swimming Championships in Goa.
He also won a bronze medal in the swimming competition held at Tonnur, Karnataka
In this situation, with the permission of both India and Sri Lanka, the boy Sinegan started swimming in the sea from Dhanushkodi Arichalmunai at 2 pm on Monday, and at 09.55 pm he swam and past the Talaimannar at 7:55 minutes.
