I just started training for my first ironman. I've been an athlete my whole life and a soldier for my whole work life. All of a sudden injures and life hit me pretty hard, and has put me out for a number of years. I've been smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, doing drugs several times a week, getting drunk several times a week, eating unhealthy, drinking red bulls to get through the day, and I was so sleep deprived because of all the stress built up in me.
Then I got a son. He's a year old now, and I'm gonna do everything to be his hero. He saved me, he is my motivation.
Currently I'm doing 10-12 training passes pr week. 1 morning, 1 night. Running 15km 4 times a week, swimming 1-2 km 4 times a week, and just started cykling. I eat healthy, and need nothing else than water. I sleep every night and have more energy than ever. I'm FUCKING motivated! Fuck all the persons bringing you down brothers and sisters! Put the work in, and we shall overcome! Let's be fucking iron!

I have been training 10k run for a year now, I want to practice my swimming but dang I can't find any friend who has the same hobby as me. I sometimes feel unmotivated because I'm always alone, i ask my friend if they want to run 5k marathon and they can't even run 4 laps in track. My biggest dream is to run a half marathon and hopefully ironman.

I remember running till I almost passsd out literally that was my absolute limit. I would’ve literally died if I kept going, my leg muscles totally gave up didn’t even feel them but I kept going regardless
