It's April 15th! Tax Day! Time to celebrate by playing Tax Avoiders for the Atari 2600!
ОтветитьThank's a lot my friend, I have so difficult to get a copy for this and I needed to undestand the mechanics and the context of this game, I really enjoy your video.
ОтветитьI notice it's not called "evaders" or "dodgers".
ОтветитьHave you played Porkys? This has the same graphics (somewhat worse) and the same sounds, but Porkys is a decent game. I can't believe what a copy this is, unless this was first.
ОтветитьI enjoy watching your videos in the mornings.
ОтветитьThis is an absolute Travesty of a video game. Absolutely horrendous! Doing taxes would be more fun than playing this absolute abomination!
Taxes and video games should not be in the same sentence!
This game is a poor investment
ОтветитьI heard that the company couldn’t dodge the taxes any more.
ОтветитьAfter the video, i have the sneaking suspicion, that Franz Kafka was the Designer. This game is like reading a book of Kafka.
Ответитьwhy does this playlist start with episode #8?
ОтветитьI bought this one in 1984 for $10. Amazing how much it's gone up!
Ответитьboring compared to the avgn
ОтветитьWould never pay what people are asking for this game. What a ripoff.
ОтветитьYoshi Commits Tax Fraud the Game
ОтветитьLol funny how you stopped yyourself from saying black guy
ОтветитьIt uses the same assets as Porky's.
ОтветитьI bought this brand new back in the day.
ОтветитьBought this game at a toys r us. In a bargain bin for $2
ОтветитьGood review, though I must say that this game looks very taxing to play. Probably best to avoid it.
ОтветитьTax Dodge for the Atari 400/800 is far better. As is 1040 Terminator for the Atari 400/800. So, there's 2 other games based on tax avoidance just for one other Atari system!
Ответитьlove this game
ОтветитьPerhaps the only 2600 game that is strictly more enjoyable and playable with earplugs and a blindfold?
ОтветитьApril 15th would be the best day to play this game because you could use it procrastinate if you haven't finished your taxes yet. I'm sure it would make the game seem a lot more fun too. Or maybe the game would make doing your taxes seem a lot more fun!
ОтветитьLooks bad, but it should be said that the main character animation is awesome!
ОтветитьYou keep saying you really don’t like this game. I don’t know, I think the concept and setting is ok.
ОтветитьNow this is game with a really dangerous scenario!
ОтветитьDef a rare game CIB. I think it’s a very cool collectors piece but not the beat game. Though once you get the hang of it the game can be somewhat fun.
Ответить"The first is the black gu--uh...Character."
I found that funnier than I should've.
Ya, this one is not for me!!
ОтветитьThis looks like a hack of Porky's
ОтветитьThis game is craptastic
ОтветитьThis game's price me avoid taxes.
ОтветитьGTA: 0
ОтветитьAhhh yes. From the Dunkey video
ОтветитьMy friend's dad plays this game in real life
ОтветитьIs this a hack of porky's or is porky's a hack of this?
ОтветитьOMG the sound is horrible! I remember back in the day I thought the sound of this game was an old dial up modem! And the piss yellow screen change...bleck...pacman and ET were bad? This was worse!
ОтветитьThis is the scariest game I’ve seen since Ghosts-N-Goblins
Ответитьsounds and looks like porkys
Ответить“THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!”
“THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!”
“THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!”
The ladder screen, and the way the character falls reminds me of Porky's...
ОтветитьLooks like this game has always stayed at the bottom of the barrel
ОтветитьIt's not a review without "Let's goooooo to the gaame"
ОтветитьThis was one of those games you couldn't just "pick up and play it". The video pretty well describes the first stage, but the second stage you had to invest (no pun intended) some time in reading the manual. When the agent was black, he was an IRS agent and would audit you for 50 percent and send you back to the first screen. The pink guy would give you a random shelter for you to pick up. The green guy would turn the current investment on the screen to the TV icon (the best investment in the game). And you would try to pick up your investment and get it back to the briefcase at the bottom of the screen.
In the meantime, your investment is making or losing money. If you're losing money, go get another investment.
Then at the end of the quarter, it would automatically send you back to the first screen and you would pay taxes on your gains/losses for that quarter. The TV would shelter all of your money even if it was losing money. And the game lasted 365 days. At the end of the year, the game ends you get your final score.
I just noticed that that looks like a SEGA cartridge! I popped over to eBay to checkout the backside, and while I don’t see the protruding embossed SEGA logo, I can see a faint silhouette of SEGA which means they ground down the embossing. Such effort to procure a recycled supply of Atari cartridge shells for a short run of a game. I bet they didn’t even crack open game cartridges and instead, SEGA or some liquidator supplied them with a lot of unused shells leftover from the mid-1980’s Atari crash.
