DAGGR-2? I like Lockheed Martin's naming here.
ОтветитьHer datalinks brings all the boypilots to the yard... she could teach you, but she would have to charge!
ОтветитьHad the F-35 been added to a Signal group?
ОтветитьElon musk is leaving 🎊🎉😃 let's celebrate 🍺 drinks on me 🍻
ОтветитьIs the F-35 actually finally coming good? I feel like there's a lot of nostalgia for F-16 / F-15s: but surely with Block 4 soon on the way, its finally shaping up well for all involved
ОтветитьAlgorithmic engagement comment.
ОтветитьBut can they WATCH the Mover and Gonky show airborne?? Dagger Gonky?
ОтветитьIts like having a survivable RC-135 forward, with line of sight collection in high threat airspace - beam the data to everyone = cool.
ОтветитьMistake or milestone?
I'd say the odds are about 50/50 which it is.
@Mover - I highly recommend installing Privacy Badger and AdBlock Plus. That will save your time from blurring out the ads.
ОтветитьWas reading yesterday, chinese claim they can use the radiation from starlink sats to see every plane flying in the sky due to its reflection . Stealth is dead.
Ответитьso f35s can be remotely disabled with backdoor good news😂
Ответить"...a gaggle of battle penguins..." Almost spewed coffee.
ОтветитьThe F-35 isn’t perfect. It has advantages and disadvantages. But, I think, the advantages outpace the disadvantages. Plenty of nations had options to buy or not buy the F-35. Most have decided to buy over the Gripen, Rafale, Typhoon, F-16V. I’m old enough to remember when people hated the F-18 replacing the F-14. Hell, one of the critiques was the F-18 wasn’t as good looking as the F-14.
ОтветитьA totally unnecessary feature.
Ответитьif only the rest of the F-35 series wasn't all based around the USMC requirements and constraints
ОтветитьFat Amy is good reflection of millenials which are a bit fat, but very tech savvy, lifespan questionable
ОтветитьWhat's the use case
ОтветитьWhat’s the big deal about this? It’s connected to the internet?
ОтветитьFinally saw fat ami at the Kirtland AFB airshow yesterday...
ОтветитьMore like a flying iPhone 😂
Great commentary guys.
As I tell anyone, the F-35 is not a plane, it is a computer with wings attached... And if you take that as what the premise is, it is exactly what it needs to be.
ОтветитьF-35 is basically the quarterback in the sky. I bet the the pilots get pissed off with an "EXCUSE ME???" if any bad guys attempt to dogfight within 40 miles.
ОтветитьYou don't like the F-35 because it does not look pretty? I wonder if you like the look of the rival X-32
ОтветитьWell of course, the Troll Trace headquarters is in Denmark… ;-)
ОтветитьSo when there is a data leak, the enemy knows it all
ОтветитьSo the F-18 status display in the command center, from the movie Independence Day, exists now?
ОтветитьI know the USAF is all giggles about this, but seriously, yawn... You can encrypt some data and send it across commercial communication channels? So what, civilians can watch movies on their phone on a commercial plane via satellite internet and have been able to for years. Starship can stream 4k video from a rocket via starlink.
Having been in the usaf it was always funny when you'd hear how "modern" everything was. pft, everything was perpetually 20 years behind the tech curve.
The RAAF are adding the Ghostbat to the F-35's armoury, plus F/A18 Super, Growler, P8 and E7. That makes it Command and Control when you can send a flight of drones, whilst the F-35 sits back and watches, evaluates and re-tasks. Basically, 'release the hounds'.
ОтветитьTrump burning bridges around the world isn't great for any future cooperation with the rest of the Western world.
ОтветитьAre we sure it was Big-boned Amy that sent the classified info and not Pete Hegseth trying to impress Big Betty at Hooters?
Ответить...good nerd stuff. The problem is MC-rates.
More computer power is more thermal shedding issues. And they ain't covering themselves in glory with Block 4/TR3 progress.
...the other problem is if Amy sends data using last years PowerPoint template. You will not like the fury of the General's chief of staff!😂
Good comment by Gonky on new Block Supers.
ОтветитьIt’s an armed AWACS that can maneuver and go fast.
ОтветитьLove your goofing around about "Fat Amy" and the acknowledgment of what its nerd stuff can do. Of course the nerd stuff could be put into a Gulfstream 5 and it would have greater range. The difference with Fat Amy would be when a "turn and burn" enemy wants to "take her out". Her stealth, cutting edge sensor capability, data sharing (including with other F-35s), and AIM-120s (plus Meteors or AIM-260s?) would likely more than make up for her mid-range maneuverability. Fat Amy would likely be a hotter date than expected for a fighter jockey!
