Ответить“You always say everything is amazing! I’m the taste tester. They listen to me.” 🤣🤣
ОтветитьPlz be my dad
ОтветитьThat looked so good to me I can’t wait to make it.
ОтветитьKids....😂
ОтветитьLove your soup!
When your son is older, he will realize he really loves this soup!
I’m retired so I like to freeze part of some dishes for later. Would you include freezing instructions for recipes that freeze well?
ОтветитьNo to butter/lima instead cannelli pinto navy beans peas zucchini versus kale just sayin 😅😊
ОтветитьBest minestrone that I've ever had. That said, before this I'd only ever had it out of a tin. I've been cooking fresh food pretty much daily now for about 10 years now, and this one was a "must do" for me. It's incredible. The tinned versions of minestrone are awful compared to this.
This recipe here will yield about 8 to 10 portions and I can do it for around £7.00 - £8.00. That's just brilliant.
I cook the pasta separately to avoid it going stodgy once it cools down. That way I can split it into portions and freeze it. And it freezes perfectly.
Less than £1.00 a portion, come on, what's not to love!!!
Keep up the good work, Sir!!!!
James, my kids, like you, weren’t thrilled about minestrone. Now, in their mid 30’s, that ask me to make it. These 7 3/4 will be 10 comfort foods when you don’t live with your parents anymore. Start saving the ricotta containers now!
ОтветитьIt looks amazing! When he grows up he’s gonna live that soup pop made.
ОтветитьLolol. Usually the other way around.
ОтветитьYou cook like my mum, and it is a compliment. We are from Provence with italian origins on both sides, we dip the bread like you do, same minestrone recipe with some variations sometimes because it is a all you can eat veggies kind of soup and my mum also make the pasta deep pan you made in another video. Are you from Italy originally?
ОтветитьThe secret to all bean and lentil soups is the bacon or ham; one freezing January I stopped at a local restaurant and they only had lentil soup, which I didn't ever like before. After I woofed 3 bowls, I asked the kitchen what they did? They said the chef started with a pound of bacon.
Ответитьlooks fire.. kids dont know good food they would give tostinos pizza rolls a 10
ОтветитьYour kid would like it more if you make your own stock. Its also not a kid's soup.
ОтветитьLooks delicious, making it for dinner tonight.
ОтветитьI don’t know what pancetta is. Wonder what else I could use. Want to make it tomorrow for the week. Wonder if I could do it in the crock pot.
ОтветитьOk, I'm trying this one today. But when I try to search in your site for this, I do get everyone else's minestrone, but not yours?
ОтветитьI made this a few months back for my dad when he was sick and it was absolutely delicious. I replaced the potato with macaroni pasta 👌
ОтветитьHe tied up the thyme. The year is going by too fast. Thanks to him the thyme is tied up. Ha. I made his Chicken Cacciatore last Sunday and my brother gave it a 9 because I had to use the wrong kind of olives and they were still not mixed well enough with everything else. My parents gave it a 10! Thanks to my weekly Sip and Feast recipe I’m becoming a family hero. Just kidding but all the praise goes to Sip and Feast. This soup on Sunday October 8th!
ОтветитьIt’s better than James expected but he really didn’t like it too much. 7 3/4 is good!
ОтветитьI've got to tell you, I don't usually leave comments I'll just try a recipe and decide if I like it or not or if I should change it in any way. This Minestrone is among the best I have ever had. I have a culinary background, Have traveled immensely, Live in New Jersey (please don't hold that against me -haha), and am a definite "FOODIE", I love soup and minestrone is one of my favorites. Your Son is cute and I see in your face your hoping for that home run of 9.5 or perfect 10 but I'd say if he has tried what some people out there call Minestrone soup He'd agree with me and give you a 9.98 because this is put simply the best recipe I have ever tried for minestrone soup!! The ONLY thing I changed (Added) was some Ditilini in mine, I just like the pasta.
Kudos and great Job!!
I made this and it was great!
ОтветитьThanks for your wonderful videos; I just discovered your channel and subscribed! I'm totally going to make this soup tomorrow as I already have all these ingredients handy. You and your family are so sweet, bless you! My husband loves everything Italian, so I'll be sure to try more of your recipes!
ОтветитьI have a question and I apologize if it’s already been asked and I missed it. How big is the Dutch Oven you are using? I have a 5 1/2 quart and I suspect that will be too small. Thanks.
ОтветитьDo you really add the beans near the beginning? Canned beans should be the last they will get mushy. Of course this is a healthy soup its not processed. Looks delicious!
ОтветитьNo pasta in your Soup?
ОтветитьLol, keep letting his honesty ring!! He’s a kid. They’re not always into the veggies and we know that. 😄 I’m sure it’s delicious and I’m making it in about an hour. Thank you! 👍🏼 Update I made it with a couple of substitutes because we are far from a store. I used Turkey Italian Sausage rather than Pancetta. Added some oregano. I cooked pasta separately to add at serving time. Used 15 oz. can crushed tomatoes but I gotta tell ya, it turned out so good! Hubby and I (70+ years) are still recovering from Covid and I managed to make this. The beauty is that we can eat it for several days and both rest and recover. SO good! Thank you! ❤
ОтветитьI made it vegetarian and substituted potatoes with sweet potatoes and it turned out yum!
ОтветитьThis was delicious! Thank you for sharing your recipes, I'm looking forward to making more :D
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI just made this tonight. It is fantastic. 10/10.
Ответитьfinally I found a minestrone recipe that looks the way I like - great video -thank you
ОтветитьGet rid of your taste tester, he’s biased. Even if he is your son.
ОтветитьYour version is very similar to our family version. We don’t have a potato we had cauliflower instead of kale, the zucchini, but we also had chicken to make a little bit more of a hearty dinner time type meal. We use the prosciutto or the ham if we have it if we don’t real minute, it’s nice to see that other people have versions of it that look as good and taste as good as yours because they made it your way now when I make it again, I will probably keep the kale keep the zucchini, which I always had right near the end because I don’t like it to squishy I’ll probably add garbanzo beans along with the cannellini beans one step you do very much differently than we do right near the end. When you’re kind of thickening it, we add a very heavy, the tomato paste with Panko Romano I love the soup is a good way to clean out the fridge and make a very large quantity of soup when I make it I tend to make somewhere between four and 5 gallons at a time.
ОтветитьI like this recipe a lot but I think you can taste the vegetables more if you add more water than stock.
ОтветитьYou would've gotten a 9 if you added Ditalini like you're supposed to....
ОтветитьJames such a lucky kid
ОтветитьI think the bread is better lol
ОтветитьIt looks superb. I bet Tara loves it.
ОтветитьReally good stuff
ОтветитьJoined your channel
Nice and clear to understand
I made your soup today! It was delicious! Thank you so……much for sharing your recipe.
No offense, don’t have your son taste any of your food. Take care. Nada.
I have made this before and it was brilliant. Hearty, healthy and filling. Today I will add tortellini instead of potatoes, inspired by your tortellini soup. I hope that works out because in my mind it does and I am craving just that.
ОтветитьLooks delicious! Now I want to make some. Thanks for the recipe!
Ответить10 lol
ОтветитьI prefer some sort of small pasta over potatoes in minestrone but otherwise this looks amazing, just what I've been craving.....broth and lots of veg.🥣🥕🧅🍅 I love that its ok for your son to comfortably express his dislike, we ARE all different.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьYou can definitely make this vegetarian or vegan by omitting the pancetta and/or parm rind. The full recipe is always linked in the description. Thanks again for liking and watching our videos!
