Reminicent of Big Pine Lakes in California. That's a 16 mile round trip, one of the top trails in the USA. We'll be in Ouray soon.

You missed the vapor caves in Ouray, it’s the best experience. Go back and try them.

You guys should check out paonia … it’s not too far from montrose . There are some really great wineries and gorgeous mountains and valley views

How good of a road is it that goes to the Blue Lakes Trailhead? Can it be done in a car?

If you come back to Telluride you should visit trout lake and go paddle boarding in the view.

Bummer ya couldn't camp. Camping out there is the best, Next time you are in Montrose might as well go to Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

I didn't realize how lucky we were to grow up in that area. Lived there through the 70s through 2009 left 12 years ago.

Thank God it's not a national park or they would ruin it.
Country Lodge in Montrose has some nice themed rooms. Dallas Divide is my favorite Colorado pass, breathtaking every time and I used to drive it almost daily.

What do you guys think of Durango? I’m trying to plan a Southwest CO trip this summer & I really enjoy your content. My son will be 7 when we go, so not sure if he can do Blue Lakes Trail, but man would I love to!
