A veneer tech makes sense in a world where nurse practitioners replaced medical doctors.

People didn’t do research because $1500 is ridiculous. Veneers are expensive. My porcelain veneers were a little over 100k and that’s not including anesthesia. I’m coming up on 10 years and they need replacement every 10 years so it’s going to cost more than what I paid the first time.

I have no remorse for these people. Google is fucking free. Not every trend needs to be tried. Supergluing in someone's mouth? Some of these people have perfectly good teeth that just need a cleaning. If you can pay $3000+ for teeth shells, you can save for a year and get your teeth cleaned at the dentist. I spent 5k on Invisalign which came with teeth whitening. Now I have beautiful teeth that are my own with character. I’m 30 so I had to live with shit teeth for so long but really worth the investment because now I don’t constantly bite my tongue. Between veneers Botox and fillers everybody’s starting to have the same face.

People get BBL from unlicensed ‘doctor’. So it’s not surprising that people are also looking for cheap way to get the Hollywood smile.

I feel like this situation isnt even like at home tattoos or piercings. While you NEVER should do those things at home some people have made it work. Has anyone been okay with these veneer techs?

Some of these things are not veneers either. Some people, especially the ones who are getting what’s known as “Turkey teeth”, are getting crowns. If they are shaving down your teeth to stubs, they aren’t veneers. Veneers are thin like a contact lens. They only shave a small amount of tooth.

I find it incredibly cold hearted, and so very sad, that people are saying others "deserve" whatever they get for trying to improve their smiles by going to "veneer fairies" or "veneer techs".... especially considering people can actually DIE from dental abscesses. This has my heart hurting for people.
Now, should people investigate PRIOR to paying for such services, provided by those not qualified? Absolutely! But it doesn't mean these people deserve the hell that has come along with it.
Dentists and denturists are out of this world expensive. To date, I've spent upwards of 35 g's for dental work, both on natural teeth and denture work, as they are not covered by healthcare in my country. While it would have been nice to have had a cheaper alternative, I absolutely would NOT have paid an amateur to do any of the work for me.
Given the health problems that can come with untreated dental problems, including death from infections, abscesses, it is an outright, bloody shame that such is not viewed as basic health care.

I grew up in an era that if you paid for a service you paid a qualified person for the service

The people that had those the veneers put over decay... They can just have a small cavity that that person was not trained to see. Those people are going to be in so much pain years from now smh. I truly believe these people have no idea what they have done and it's sad they just want a pretty white smile for now they have no idea what they're in for years down the line. It is going to cost thousands of dollars to do the work that is necessary to do when that time comes and if they don't have dental insurance now I'm assuming most of them will not by then... but they are going to be in so much pain I have had several toothaches and it is no joke!

Sorry but I had to dislike this video. You made me so upset when you said the victims deserved their pain. I would NEVER do these procedures because I'm a skeptic, and I understand the risk, (it also doesn't hurt that have naturally have very nice teeth).

However most people lack critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity and the ability to make informed decisions. Think back to 2020 when people were digesting bleach and disinfectant because of a statement the President made. Compile this the fact that many people desperately want to be seen as attractive because beauty can open so many doors. The desperate need to be attractive combined with a lack of knowledge lead many people to get these risky procedures done by unqualified individuals.

That being said I would never say someone deserves to be in pain or to be unalived because of that.
