I am from Mongolia. I think this island is should belong to China and inherited ancestors. I have read many documents and even maps from Ming and Qing dynasties that it was Chinese. But lately Japan come out and want it very far. I assure it is wrong.

1894 qing dynasty shows the senakaku island which was called daioyu, Japan knew shown by Yamagata aritomo correspondence to China dating back October 9th 1885 .. during sino Japanese war shows that japan knew the islands was a sovereign land of China
