BIT.TRIP RERUNNER + RUNNER MAKER Trailer

The game looks fine and all and the new moves do look promising, but whoever was the Art Director and related roles made a very dire mistake on why the original six BIT.TRIP games looked the way they were, since they were mimicing Atari 2600 era, but this is more along the lines of a proto-Runner2 as can be seen with the background. not to mention CommanderVideo is basically a slightly more animated version of his original sprites (while all of the other elements that are relevant to the game are in 3D but not pixel-like like the original for no reason). the HUD looks like you took the one from the original RUNNER and asked an AI to make it, and reusing the same voice samples from Runner2 and 3 instead of the voice samples that were in RUNNER and can be extracted on PC in less than 10 seconds.


Simply put, this game has a lot to prove if it's going to be a "remake" of a part of one of Indies greatest hexologies before it can win me over.

As a long-time fan, though I miss the pure-voxel art style, I can’t deny that this looks super pretty and super fun.

Glad the game looks, sounds and feels more like a proper BIT.TRIP experience again. One of my biggest problems with Runner 3 is it escaped a tad too much from it's origins, losing some of the charm.

I am so hype about this game!

The only thing I sorta want them to bring back is the original voice when change modes from the original Runner

(like when you level up from hyper to mega the announcer says it in a loud and booming voice compared to the Runner 2 variant)

I NEED THiS!, the Bit.Trip saga was the one that got me into indies and fall in love with them alongside Meat Boy.
I would really love to see this remake get success so perhaps we could see some re-takes on other games from the original saga, which I think are kinda underrated and got blurred away nowadays.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure I'll get this game on day 1, I see so much love on this one, and I must say that's not common in game/entertainment industry in general lately.
