Why so much equipment?

What about stock that is greater than 1-inch? I'm looking for the correct ppi for a crosscut panel saw to trim the laminated ends of a laminated workbench top that is 24 inches wide and 5 inches thick. Cheers!

Dime a dozen does not apply in OZtralia. Does the amount of teeth in the wood change from soft to hardwood do you have a chart so I can get my head around the variables Cheers Mark
