The Andromeda Galaxy is 2.5 million years away. You can see it with your own eyes. That's a long way to see something with your own eyes.
Now use a Telescope. What do you see. The close up of the Andromeda Galaxy!
Now you know why Einstein was upset with this Microwave background stuff of Hubble.
It's like Standing in Pakistan with a Telescope and Viewing the USA 👽
adjusting the micrope telescope lens you see nearby or distant
ОтветитьPlease tell me that you do NOT teach this in K-12 😳
ОтветитьWould I be consiered just a troublr sker of I saw here a muddling distinction between distance and time.? Aftersll, stopping off for coffee at a rest dtop on wsy to uot galaxy can throw off something awful the estinates. I until I die. Thsnk you. Splendit 5 ETWTRS! suspected thst college physics would become a road map to the universe. Rhank you, but I am still wasiting for all sorts of new confounding surprises. Syill, until then, I;m hooked snd addictrd on your lessons and instead of living to see all the results of deep space explotstion I'll settle or your wonderful, cler and spellbinding lectures. Please keep us old biologists and neuroscientists informed as you are our top amelodic rocj STAR!
ОтветитьI won't admit how many years it has taken me to learn how the blue/red concept works. Nope. I shan't do it.
Thank you.
Psalm 147:4-5 King James Version (KJV)
He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite. Glory hallelujah 🙌 🙏 ❤️ 🌟
Doesn't the magnification of the telescope change what actual time travel of the light
ОтветитьYou said you are seeing the evolytion of gakaxies.... ; BUT are some of them NOT the same galaxies that are becoming brighter and gives the illusion that they are nearer and newer...?? 🤔
Are NOT many of the stars, gakaxies that we see in the vast velvety blanketed Universe, the same ones repeating itself..!?
Gakaxies are moving around the Universe at different speed are they not..?? 🤔
So, whst percentage are repetitions..???
Wonderful video. Thank you so much for sharing your great insight on your reaserch. Your good true friend. Adam
ОтветитьSmarts with heart! Great feel thru the entire vid.
The size of the Universe is on my mind often. I believe when you ponder, and attempt to conceive it you grow some way yourself.
Thanx for this project
I enjoyed it universally❗

ОтветитьI hope the intelligent life out there will harvest this planet for nutrients. Winding up in the stomach of a much more advanced life form is probably a higher calling than anything we’ll ever accomplish collectively.
ОтветитьWhat a bunch of fantasy crap!
ОтветитьWhy do we assume that we are in the "dead center" of the Universe? By looking at deep field pictures, we say, "Those galaxies are at the end of the Universe." So, if we look all around in space and see this, that means we're in the "Dead Center." Well..., if you believe the Big Bang Theory, then that means we are right where the Big Bang "Explosion" happened, because everything else is far away like these images. And its ALL traveling away from us. That would make us the point of "explosion/Bang." Right?????
It really doesn't make any sense.
🕵️🤷🌹
ОтветитьCongratulations Dr. Summers for this magnificent step-by-step clear explanation. On a scale from 0 to 10, among people I know, they would rate only from zero to one. I may be somewhat partial in judging myself but, I think I am a good 3 to 4. I am really happy with my understanding of your presentation. I look forward to a repeat performance concerning the James Webb telescope. Now my problem is to try to get my own brother and friends that are 0 to 1 interested in this. It may be a bigger challenge than looking for a Pre-Big Bang discovery.
ОтветитьThe picture looked like a star destroyer
ОтветитьVery interesting presentation. Had no idea the Hubble could see so deep into space. That was fun 🙂
ОтветитьWhy did this guy say when talking about a close up of a particular part of space that the brightest star in that shot from hubble would blow out the rest of the stars and galaxies.
"Was something that the astronomers were trying to avoid"
Just the way it came out of his mouth the way it did and he kind of stuttered for a millisecond.
Wasn't he supposed to say that or was he talking about an extreme close up of that star ? But if it was an extremely close shot all other galaxies and stars would be out of that shot anyway.
What ever. I'm looking forward to the first shots it should be interesting.
Just the people alone who worked on the James Webb from design to getting where it sits in space now. All need to be commended for the work, the long hours, dedication and sweat.
Congratulations to all.
You people hardly ever get the recognition you deserve. So from a Canadian to all of the Americans and other citizens of other countries who worked on the Webb
"Thanks and I hope everything goes well with the photos and other info your expecting "
For those that are intrigued by the first image of JWST that was just released, this video is a must see to understand it!
ОтветитьReally fantastic explanation ! Thanks.
ОтветитьJust a thought or theory, about the big bang. Wouldn't it be just a merger of galaxies a total collision, that eventually produced our milkyway. It's just a thought that if the milkyway is heading towards andromida
Ответить👍 HUGE THUMBS UP 😅 for the great joke about not liking the current US president. I personally would rather be living in the times on this planet when gas was $1.82 per gallon for premium!
ОтветитьOdd considering NASA admits they've never been beyond low earth orbit
ОтветитьWhat if the white hole is just an extension if the black hole that puts the newly processed stuff back out into existence. The cleaning 🤔
ОтветитьWhy can’t we see the future then!?
ОтветитьWhy can’t we see how our Earth shaped,or they wouldn’t show us!
ОтветитьHmmm...one hundred billion galaxies, and galaxies themselves containing perhaps several hundred billion stars. And stars usually form with planetary systems-or disks. A back of the envelope calculation gives on the order of several trillion planets? Even if technological life is rare, I'm thinking that we can't be alone. And the refrain, "we're here, aren't we?", takes on a much more tangible meaning, with these great images now provided by the hubble-and now the James Webb Space Telescope!
ОтветитьI don't understand 😕 If you look deep into space in one specific direction, and you're going back in time, what would it be if you looked in the opposite direction? Would we be looking forward in time?
Would that mean if you look in the opposite direction, there would be nothing there?
Are there not any galaxies side by side with ours?
Why is everything going back in time no matter which direction you look?

Be mindful of thought association involving United States Presidents that are associated to what is supposed to be a neutral educational medium >
The analogy in the description of human age that is associated to the concept of the age of galaxies could become used in thought association>
50 billion galaxies in the universe>
Be mindful of thought association that affects memory that becomes an inability to discern a conscious from an unconscious pattern that disrupts an educational medium that was not intended to be used for such purposes in a control over perception of structure and formation that may deteriorate the analysis to be unaffected by that which may cause a rejection of such an educational medium>
Battle of Gettysburg>
Most inappropriate to associate independent concepts of military philosophy
Infrared>
James Webb Space Telescope
The presentation here represents an excellent format of basic structure and thought formulation, but the thought association to political decision is not appropriate. The objectivity in an educational presentation was not meant to be influenced by thought associations that an individual must endure in order to be educated in an application of concentration to engage in memorization and the analysis through self instruction.
Boring> Most inappropriate
A person may become influenced as to the sheer amount of time that is required for analysis that is corrupted by interferences in objective thought formulation

ОтветитьThe james webb telescope is now in orbit... 😊😊😊
ОтветитьThank you Dr Summers for such an informative presentation. Praise be to Allah, the creator of the Universe.
ОтветитьI love Astrophysics and Astronomy ❤️✨✨✨❤️ Very nicely explained ✨
ОтветитьConcise and comprehensive information about billions of light years far galaxies! Based on recent discoveries of James Webb telescope - The big bang theory appears to a false research.
ОтветитьWow!!! excellent job explaining!!!
ОтветитьHow do we know we are facing the right direction to see the center?

Ответить"Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Timothy 3:7. KJV.
ОтветитьWhy again talking about moon. We never be there !!! I don't bolive nothing more of you astronauts !!!
ОтветитьSpace is eternal. Nomatter how deep you zoom there will appear new distant pixels.
Ответить50 Billion Galaxies estimated in the Universe.
ОтветитьWatching this in 2024. I went back in time 13 years. Amazing. Thank you much
ОтветитьRed shift is questionable . The fact frequency of emf is reduced over distance is the problem. The frequency transmitted from mars arrives here the same, if not we would not be able to receive data as the receiver can only pick up the tuned frequency.
ОтветитьThat's a brilliant explanation; the farthest galaxies are the younger ones, and this is homogeneously spread through out the volume of the universe over 4π steradians. That implies the edge of the universe is beyond the younger galaxies in the ultra deep field, thus we would be closer to the center, or where the Big Bang happened and then expanded outward... Makes little sense!
Star formation in the perimeter of the expanding universe would make more sense, and that would place us closer to the center of the universe or where the Big Bang happened. Thus the void would be giving way to the expanding universe!
I wish we had a better name than Big Bang for the origin of the universe's creation!!
