German CEO making the Brand like Porsche. Out of touch for most people.
ОтветитьFor nearly 10 years, Harley has had it great, adding bling over technology to 80% of their line ups and increasing prices annually greater than inflation. Other manufacturers have moved on in leaps and bounds, pulling in all age groups.
ОтветитьHarley is fucked. Tariffs will just hasten the inevitable deathblow.
ОтветитьThe tariffs shouldn't affect Harley. They are not selling well tariffs or no tariffs.
I would sell the stock now if I were you. I already have.
A wise man once said, "Everyone needs a can of tomatoes, but nobody needs a motorcycle." An expensive Harley-Davidson motorcycle least of all. 😢
ОтветитьThey should have keep it all in the USA 🇺🇸 then this wouldn’t be happening
ОтветитьI’m 48. I got another Harley last year. (5th in lifetime) They are still very affordable on the used market. A 3 year old bike that just sat in someone’s garage is a great buy.
ОтветитьHarleys appeal mainly to conservative white males over 40 years old. Harleys have always been behind in the trends in motorcycling because of that demographic. Harley is a sound, a sound only produced by a certain V Twin engine. Therefore the bikes they build are based around that, which limits their market share. Then look at Triumph for arguments sake, another old brand that was resurrected. They build new engines based on their heritage bikes, the twin cylinder and the triple cylinder. This gave them the scope that Harley doesn't have. Recently Triumph have released a single cylinder 400cc bike in a couple of styling options at a very competitive price, which have been a sell out success. Triumph can read the market and respond, Harley can't. Motorcycles sale are plummeting world wide. Younger people have realised you don't need a high powered bike to enjoy motorcycling, in fact where on the road can you use them which has lead to a shift in bikes that to models that are usable, stylish and affordable. Harley is so far out of the market can they ever recover or just down size to become a smaller niche motorcycle builder.
ОтветитьHere in France HD.are already priced high, not many young want or can afford them. The future for them is gloomy🥲
ОтветитьThis should just about do it for Harley. They can send their CEO back to his country. He succeeded in doing the company in. The over paid union workers can go on unemployment and try and find another job. Way to go Harley!
ОтветитьLOL already overhyped overpriced junk that dealers cannot sell, Trump has finished Harley off worldwide with this.
I had planned to buy an 883 , dealer went broke 3 years ago.
People still ride motorcycles for fun???????
ОтветитьYou’re misinformed. HD motorcycles have always been heavily tarrifed. Many EU enthusiasts travel to the U.S. to buy them, ride them here and ship them home as used.
ОтветитьGood. 50% reciprocal on BMW, Moto Guzzi, Aprilla, Triumph, Ducati.
ОтветитьHardly ableson is dead,
ОтветитьOh no , now a Chinese r-shirt will cost $200 now !!!
ОтветитьThe German goosestepping ceo caused Harley to become a Joke
ОтветитьWith the Baby Boom Generation passing within the next 5-10 years. Harley would be wise to innovate and put a product out there that the general public will buy. If Harley survives the Trump Tariffs. They will still have a hard time selling them outside of a certain demographic.
ОтветитьIt was 20% but in two weeks it will be zero. The EU will cave
Ответитьdoes this mean that my 05 softail will be worth a fortune in the UK soon? 🤣
ОтветитьIf you go to any Harley shop and buy just about anything, it's made in China. So yea, the tariffs will affect HD
ОтветитьThey were too expensive before & this will just be the end. Nice work Trump, making America Great Again.
ОтветитьThe only riders that don't like to ride Harleys are the one's that can't afford it😂😮
ОтветитьWealthy baby boomers are the ones that can afford the prices of the new Harley’s, let’s be honest. Their Euro, Asian and Australian market bikes have been made in Thailand for the last few years, so tariffs are nothing new for the brand.
ОтветитьHarley was going under anyway. They haven’t been “made in the USA” for years and their demographic is getting old. Younger generation does not see HD in the same way boomers and genX do.
ОтветитьI don’t know why there’s still Europeans buying them most i know prefer sportier motorcycle a like ktm duke (yes bankrupt),Kawasaki,Honda, yamaha or scooters for daily commute from piaggio and others also now buy chinese benelli, cfmoto ect
Ответить131 units of CVOs @120k each.. easiest million in the pocket..😂
ОтветитьAnd yet no one cares anymore 😕
ОтветитьTariffs good for Harley. It asked for and saved Harley in the 70’s/80’s and since it biggest market is US putting tariffs on foreign imports give them an advantage.
ОтветитьHarley is only reaping what they have down like so many American companies that got big and powerful on our labor then turned and put profits over people and country.
ОтветитьAs a Harley owner/rider, it doesn't really matter to me. I will not buy a Harley built outside the USA anyway. The DEI loving German CEO has caused Harley to completely lose its way and go against its heritage and philosophy that made it strong. Willie G.must be terribly depressed over what they did to his company,
ОтветитьThat's no problem! Nobody can afford Harley Davidson anyways! The may as well shut the whole damn operation down and fold altogether! 🤣
ОтветитьHD sales in Canada have pretty much dried up,,, no one is paying $60 k for junk... then it needs $20 of add-on's too change out the plastic and cheap chrome crap... junk junk junk... go buy a new honda for $10 or $12 k and ride under warranty for 5 years... Hondas need nothing because they last forever... 😂
ОтветитьFollow the money what has hardly been doing with that money?
ОтветитьHarley chose to produce their bikes on Foreign soil “ So suck it up?🤣
ОтветитьThat's what happens, when the EU stopps having good diplomats... in the long run they'll vanish.
Ответить😅😅😅😅 Don't worry hang tough and have fun!
You all vote for Donald! Enjoy!!
The media again, putting their spin on these tariffs…. an American made motorcycle not made in America. Wonder how many jobs were lost. Why don’t you start paying Americans an American wage?
ОтветитьThey’re ridiculously overpriced as it is.
25% extra is a death blow.
If you have one hold on to it , as this brand will probably go bankrupt
ОтветитьHarley has been in trouble for awhile. Don't blame Trump, they did it to themselves!
ОтветитьBS they have no idea at this moment what the EU will do etc. This is just a bunch of journalistic crap!
ОтветитьNobody will know. Almost nobody's buying their overpriced bikes anymore.
ОтветитьHarley can piont their finger at everyone else for their problems... they have to loom in the mirror to find the real problem. Screwing customers over warranty claims, closing down Buell , dyna line, overpriced motorcycles along with insane dealers fees ,DEI - woke BS. There's a long list of issues for the company and i doubt they can solve them or save the company from closure.
ОтветитьThis video says nothing very disappointing in finding people in the know of what the hell is going on only to give a carefully worded walk around ! In the end giving opinions that person looking for change in financial district would have been a better bet ,for sure .
ОтветитьHarley lost 100 million dollars and there stock is bottoming out. Plus there new bikes are falling apart. They might be done unless someone buys them out.
ОтветитьWell maybe if they built motorcycles in America with American parts they wouldn't be crying right now.
ОтветитьAt worst it will have a neutral impact.
ОтветитьLiterally none of this happened
ОтветитьDont they make harleys in thailand?😊
Ответить
