Typical of you coming from a scamming country! You asked for his help to take to a hotel and he drove you there and there! He not a taxi driver,but your tight arse couldn’t pick a hotel especially in the middle of the night when everything is closed! You call him foolish for taking you to a hotel? When I go to Tonga,my home country,I save money! I don’t go to families to burden them.I get off at the airport,find a taxi,pay him $70 to take me to the Tano’a Hotel,stay there for 2 nights before flying out to the outer islands! $40 to drive you from the airport to the Tano’a and every where else? P off! He was doing you guys a favour!!! That’s a lot of running around! He didn’t advertise to you to be a taxi driver! You were desperate and have to ask him to take! I have come off the plane and no taxi,and just get a lift by one of the guys and I give them $70 because if a taxi was available,I would have paid the same to the taxi!!Now learn something,when travelling,save good money incase of some situations like this! If you don’t have money to organise your accomodations ,transport,and emergency pocket money then stay home because this is what you would get! I wonder if drop in India and beg someone to take me somewhere with hardly any money?

The cab driver irrespective of being official or unofficial wasn't too unreasonable in asking for an extra buck. He took you to a lot of hotels late at night. You could have handled it in a much better way I guess
