Nixon really was a true international US President. He really did change the world for the better with his trip to China. He knew a good thing when he saw it and he should to be commended for his vision. History is on his side.

@mrjimhoward --he was quite a pragmatist and visionary. Too bad for Watergate---otherwise, he would have gone down in history as a near great President.

Nixon betrayed America by sending America manufacturing to Communist Red China that practiced slave labor. The Republican tax cuts do NOT hire Americans but go to China to build even more factories that take good American jobs. Nixon should have been tried for treason.

@Imonabridge Well, from an outside perspective it seems that Bush and his posse fucked you up. Didn't Clinton do amazing things for your economy?

the overrated boot-licker Kissinger and his puffed-up megalomaniac boss Nixon kissing the ass and exulting in the friendship of the world's worst mass-murderer, Mao Ze Dong. Sickening and enlightening.

Two evil bastards shaking hands. Together they did the work of Beelzebub and together that have the blood of many millions of innocent souls on their hands. The demons who protect their graves should be slaughtered, and both corpses taken by force and incinerated.

@Oldgmlover The Democratic and Republican parties need to be exterminated. Luckily, they will be.

You can tell who is pulling the strings here, Nixon sounds like a little child begging for acceptance from his daddy Kissinger.

“Oh! Ambition blind, That stirred the leaders so to join their strength In peace that ended ill, their prize the world! For while the Sea on Earth and Earth on Air Lean for support: while Titan runs his course, And night with day divides an equal sphere, No king shall brook his fellow, nor shall power Endure a rival. Search no foreign lands: These walls are proof that in their infant days A hamlet, not the world, was prize enough To cause the shedding of a brother's blood.”

Nixon tapes never cease to blow my mind. Makes his career putting away Alger Hiss, closes it out with détente with the Rooskies and Chicoms.

The man that friended a communist. Something our founding fathers didn’t ever want America to touch.. Yet all these comments so blinded about how he sold you out to this Chinese dictator. Look at us now; look at a China, this whole comment section is an embarrassment to the US

I just finished Macmillan’s “Nixon and Mao”. While the conception and execution of the opening to China was brilliant, in the long term it was a net negative for the US. It did not help resolve Vietnam, did not have significant impact on the Soviets and ended up converting the Chinese pygmy into a communist threat.
