Wonderful to see Nicola join the Electrifying team - one of the best automotive journalists and presenters. Just need Jack Scarlett from Fully Charged and you will have the very best line up.

The thing is air conditioner controls need to be physical dials and buttons. I have VW with large touch screen and it is all too fiddly to change the temperature. No chrome seriously how is that a Mini. It is Chinese made not British made. The bonnet no clam shell, the front and rear styling don’t match, round front and sharp rear. Although I like the rear lights. The paint colours are nice and the interior has a big update. I will see it in the real but not hopeful I will purchase. Note a long term Mini owner, original, r53 and well the reliable but ugly f56. I think the new countryman is better looking. A shame you weren’t able to show the car in the open.

Seems like with nearly every iteration the Mini Cooper and Countryman just seem to get more and more hideous.

Sad to see Nicola join Electrifying, she is an excellent presenter so hopefully hasn’t left the Autocar/whatcar family

I hope the actual production model has a display that shows the info on the windshield and not that little piece of plastic. Looks really cheap.

Neither game changer nor game over? MINI is still behind the curve on charging rates, even with the range increase on these cars. It remains a city car, but you're paying an ever increasing premium for the badge and image and is that sustainable, given that the EV market is becoming more competitive?

Oh please no.
Why can't they leave the speed on the dash, where you can easily see it.
Also the AC controls with dials, so you don't have a crash trying to turn it down!

I probably won’t be able to afford a lecky mini any time soon and certainly not a 2024 model. I have a 2019 Mini Cooper sport in melting silver which I love, however it would be nice to have a new one.

Eh, Mini’s dead. Couch seats, huge, no vertical A pillar, so the cabin feels like every other car… not my cup of tea

All looks great, although the body is slightly bulkier than I like and I loved the chrome 😔 OLED screen (prototype) looks incredible!

Sent an email weeks ago inquiring the lack of mileage bump they promised and surprise i got no response. Such pathetic range makes rhis car useless...ih well

The triangular rear lights don't reflect anything else in the design of the car and sticks out (in a bad way). Other than that, it looks brilliant .
