Wow! Such a great and informative video! I understand how much effort you've put in to make a wonderful video like this ❤ thanks a million
ОтветитьA nice, informative video.
Well done !
Thanks so much for this info. Stain can be hard to match and this helped us so much with our project. Awesome video ❤
ОтветитьThanks for making this video!
ОтветитьI like that Jack-O-bean color.
ОтветитьFinally someone that shows each color. Thanks.
ОтветитьQuestion, Did you apply pre-stain to the cedar before staining?
ОтветитьI end up mixing two colors together, at least 95% of the time. Dark Walnut or Special Walnut are my "go to" colors because they are the most neutral. I'll either use one of the Walnuts as the base with just a little bit of a different color added to it. Or use a different color as the base, with just a lil Walnut added.
You don't even have to pour them into the same container and get everything all messy! I just dip my rag into both containers then wipe on the wood. Or use a stir stick to drip some from each onto the rag. I've even just layered with the different colors.
(Just occured to me, I approach staining like I paint. I can't just use a color straight out of the tube, I have to mix it with other colors on my pallet to get it just right. This is probably why I can't use a stain color straight out of the can. So this "tip" may be of no use to anyone else 🤣 )
Excellent video..is there red tones in Provencal?
ОтветитьThank you for this ! You’re awesome!
ОтветитьFinally an extremely helpful video showing various colors on PINE! I've been looking fo weeks, in person at stores and online, so glad I found you. Subscribed!
ОтветитьWhat type of wood did you use
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, you saved me a lot of money and time 🙏🏻
ОтветитьWhat type of gloss did you use on the Dark Walnut stain?
ОтветитьI would love to see how these colors are on already colored cabinets. I have red cherry and would love to tone it down or even go expresso
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьALL 10…….REAL Pine, Chestnut, and Oakwood Floors.
ОтветитьHi curious about the shade thats hanging on the window .. do you mind saying where you got it. Thanks in advance ☺
ОтветитьThank you. What would you recommend if you wanted to have your drawers darker than the dresser itself? Do people do that?
ОтветитьThank you for the information, Between provincial and special walnut, which one do you think would be better on oak floors?
ОтветитьHi Angela this is sooo helpful! We have tons of gorgeous wood in our new home- however it’s that 90’s yellowish stain. It seems to have a lacquer coat over it should I sand it? Or use some type of remover before staining? Help! Also I love ur channel, new subscriber! ❤
ОтветитьVery helpful thank you 🙏 🙂
ОтветитьOne of the best stain videos out there. Thank you SOoooooo much. Seeing the stains on pine makes all of the difference.
ОтветитьWould you guys say ebony is closer to a gray tone?
ОтветитьI love this video!Thank you so much ❤️
ОтветитьNailed all my favourite stains. Loved it!
ОтветитьThe color of Early American stain and the picture she presented is WAY OFF. I appreciated the video, so I bought Early American, ignored the color on the label and my project is super dark. Early American stain is as dark as Dark Walnut. The label on the can is accurate.
ОтветитьGreat video! thank you
ОтветитьI agree with D9everything. Thank you SOOOO much!! This was a big help to me!
ОтветитьI'm not sure how you did it but the sound of you talking is so crisp and pure ASMR with that faint echo!
Ответитьgreat and clear video , i went with jacobean for my stairs :)
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьWhat color will golden oak and ebony look like mix together
ОтветитьWow, thank you so much! I was trying to figure out what stain color to use on my brother's driveway wooden gate. Now I have an idea of what to buy. 😀
ОтветитьThankyou 👍
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Making it harder though to figure what we are going to do to our Newl posts and railing. lol
Ответитьcool thnx
Ответитьomg THANK YOU!!!!
ОтветитьMay I ask what is the white color on your background wall? Thanks
ОтветитьI ended up thinking I liked one color and then bought a bunch of small cans and tested it, and man the ones I didn't think I'd like was the winner. Pretty cool, but learned I need to test them on the wood I'm using for sure
ОтветитьHey!! I hope it’s not too late, but I need some help picking a stain color. I’m doing a live edge cedar epoxy resin table. I want to stain the wood to be a medium color. So not too dark and not too light, but I also want some of that red cedar pattern to show through!!!
ОтветитьHelpful video.
ОтветитьI love all of these! Trying to pick something to stay in my mailbox base that was just redone. Will these work for that purpose?
ОтветитьMy personal mix is 4 parts early american (or really any medium brown this color is the least important) 2 parts Briarsmoke ( it's just a little to grey for my liking but when mixed it gave me the rustic look I was going for) and last 1 part of a dark brown ie dark walnut or jacobean
ОтветитьWhere is mahagony???..?????...?....
