Any AC/DC tool from Harbor Freight may be broken when you open the tool for the first time and/or may break shortly after using it so you better be able to return it as soon as you start using it so be close to a store. Any non-electric tool may last a lifetime of home use and some may even last in professional and daily use for year to come. So, only buy electrical tools there for a project or occasional use and expect them to fail anytime but to be a good value to save money for light duty. If you have the money buy better AC/DC tools that will last with heavy use up to a lifetime. For non-electric tools you may be very happy with what you get and they may last a lifetime and go to your kids when you die.
ОтветитьSteer clear of harbor freight moving blankets. After a year or so they start falling apart shedding tiny abrasive fiber everywhere. I had some just in case, and it happened first time i used them.
Ответить"you only have one set of lungs."
Heh, funny way of saying I've got a spare
Might add some spools of wire. Various sizes and colors.
ОтветитьIt’s so nice to see a guy with a shop who really appreciates it I wish I could have a shop
Ответитьi bought a little 3" vice from harbor freight for like $30 maybe less for my gunsmith classes and it works great
ОтветитьThe Dremel is NOT worth it. It stalls cutting thin interior plastic. Going to buy a heavy duty Dremel this week.
Ответитьcould not do without a good bench vice got me out of many problems
ОтветитьPracticality is very underrated!
ОтветитьI love having the cheapy multimeter around. Someone always asks if you have one and you don't want to hand that idgit a $700 Fluke. lol
ОтветитьI need a new vice, my current one is WAY too small for the stuff that I do now a days
ОтветитьTnn😅
Ответитьvery very good video. This kind of thing is something I always tried to get one of my exwives to understand. "No, I don't need it for a job now, but when I do need it I'd rather have it than have to try to get one then" .
ОтветитьI'm surprised a set of exhaust hanger pliers wasn't on this list
ОтветитьShould have asked for a $4 discount
ОтветитьThe Bauer rotary tool is no good. Many reviews of it stopping working after one or two uses. When it comes to rotary tools. The cheap ones work best unless you need an expensive one. As do all tools.
ОтветитьNice tools 🔧 😮😊😊 Do U got a vice grip
Ответить"Great gift idea" = "you don't want this piece of crap"
ОтветитьHarbor Freight actually has their version of the iFixIt set now: Item 59258 “QUINN Electronics Repair Kit, 87 Piece”
ОтветитьTo be fair I don’t know what the “new snap on socket set” is, but if it is for new ev cars and such they are rated for high voltage and made of carbon fiber more than likely. So yes 48,000 is a lot but it’s saving you from feeling 400,000 amps and the market for that sort of stuff isn’t insane at the moment
ОтветитьOh goodness, I had no idea snapon was run by the government 😏
ОтветитьThat "Gator"-socket is my wife's most loved "wrenching"-tool! Great, since now she doesn't mess with my proper tools anymore... ;)
ОтветитьWhat's funny about the Super Lube name? I don't get it.
ОтветитьId like to see some good amazon tools... I know I have gotten a plastic welder which melts metal into broken pieces to bind them together... very useful on doorpanels and other brittle plastic pieces... a game changer tool for me
ОтветитьHi Jared nice tool 🔧 set
ОтветитьThe hobby knives works great for minor surgeries. 😮👍🩹
ОтветитьThat Doyle vice, project farms did a review which if you are in the market I highly recommend watching. That vice was consistently top 5 going against vices that cost in the thousands. I got one and love it, highly recommend it.
ОтветитьReally nice list! Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention thay 48 thousand dollar snapon socket set is 2 1/2 inch drive with up to 200mm sockets stuff no one working on cars will ever need
ОтветитьLost me at scissors. The video felt a little forced. I don't know that I would buy any of that stuff from HF. "Ranger" Ear Muffs? How about some nice cheap foam ear plugs? Video felt a little forced. I hope you turn around and return all that stuff you didn't need to HF. And what's up with R2D2 next to you with his exhaust vent pointed at the camera?
ОтветитьDoyle products are excellent! I have many of their pliers and cutters and they are the best quality for the money. I got the Doyle 6" benchtop vise for $172 out the door (25% off coupon with no sales tax). I almost got the one you bought, but chose the 6" instead. Great video!
ОтветитьProblem with Harbor Freight is that if you are searching for ONE particular size socket, say 17mm 1/2dr, you have to buy a complete set!! Home Depot sells individual sockets (Husky) and so does Lowe's (Kobalt) Check around your area,, between my home and Harbor Freight there is a Second Hand Shop that has from vintage comic books to complete 3/4in socket sets! Usually I'll get lucky and they'll have the ONE socket I need, American made, most I've ever paid was $8 (for a 1/2in dr deep well impact, Snap On) Don't be afraid to look around and support local business!
ОтветитьAnother example of snap on being a retarded choice. Snap on is for suckers who like giving money away. I work on a farm, we maintain lots of trucks, big box trucks, skid steers, excavators, backhoes and dozers. Been using the same impact husky set for over 3 years. They all still work perfectly fine.
ОтветитьThose yellow bolt sorting trays are one of the best things I ever purchased and gave as gifts.
ОтветитьA T6, T8, and T9 screw bit that holds up after several uses is what I'm in the market for:) I enjoy taking apart my pocket knives cleaning, polishing, upgrading, etc... The T6's never hold up though not even the screws used. Wish all knife makers would just make the T8 is smallest:)
ОтветитьI need a new vise. Been looking at the Doyle. I have a 6" Irwin and I'm just waiting for that thing to snap every time I use it. It's amazing how bad vises are these days. The Doyle looks like it's a step up. Better than the cheap brittle cast iron on every other import vise. I'm not spending $800-1k on one either.
ОтветитьThis might as well be a podcast. No close ups of the items
ОтветитьBeen looking all over for a pick and hoot set. No luck so far. They sell them at Hooters?
ОтветитьAwesome suggestions that I can use! And appreciate your enthusiasm and presentation! Wrench on brother!!!
ОтветитьSlightly more permanent fix would be a good tee shirt
ОтветитьFeelet gauges.
ОтветитьGood video!!!
Ответить.Good information! Thanks for doing this video1
ОтветитьHonestly I’ve worked as a marine repair technician and automotive technician now and there are plenty of tools that can be purchased and used that aren’t your big name brand companies. We all love snapon lifetime stuff, but if the tool guy isn’t going to your shop every week it isn’t that same ‘ quick ‘ replacement. Between Amazon, and harbor freight you’re completely correct. They can have quality decent tools that will not give you issues and with harbor freights being local you walk in and walk out with the tool replacement free no questions asked. And for tools frequently broken or splitting or whatever the case. An upgrade to snapon brand or matco if you like that is sometimes a worth it investment!
ОтветитьAlready looking in my wallet for some bucks to get a few things.....!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьFor a vise I would definitely go used and older. There's always some great old iron for sale absurdly cheap that will last many more years. I lucked out and have a Chas Parker that was handed down from my grandfather to my father then to me, she's weighs a ton but once your torque down the jaws nothing moves.
Loved some of the picks and use ideas presented, great vid. Also love the idea of picking up one each time you are getting something you need.
I need more plastic trays so my magnetic trays aren't so long term
