I backpacked around Jamaica years ago and have to say that lots of the foods I was so excited to try were pretty much all nasty. Ital food in the mountains has zero seasoning (ital means clean nearly raw natural foods) and the jerk I tried from the streets was often really dry. Could have just been the vendors that I used but it was disappointing.
