Isn't that thread loose ma'am?
ОтветитьThis is amazing! How I've missed out on bookbinding I'll never know!!!
ОтветитьOkay but like, I watched one tutorial and immediately made my own notebook. 10/10 instructions would recommend.
ОтветитьThank you very much! Great tutorial I was dreaming of ❤
ОтветитьThanks❤
ОтветитьOutstanding tutorial ❣️❣️❣️
ОтветитьI wanted to let you know that your video was super helpful and I was able to complete my first book binding with the french link stitch! <3 Thank you for such a clear video!
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you!
ОтветитьI like this method much better than other ones I've tried, it feels very sturdy, thanks for the easy to follow tutorial :)
ОтветитьAnother excellent video - many thanks :)
ОтветитьI've followed your tutorial for the Kettle Stitch case bind, and I'm wondering if there's a stitch that is hidden when you finish the book i.e. can't see the stitching on the inside when the book is open?
ОтветитьLove this! Will give it a try ❤
ОтветитьLooks great.
ОтветитьYour videos are A+ excellent. Your voice is clear and pleasant to listen to. There is absolutely no extraneous chit chat which I really appreciate. Your instructions are very clear and pair perfectly with the video portion. You encourage
viewers to adapt as necessary to meet their needs. The length of your videos is perfect - long enough for thorough instruction but never slow or dragging. Giant kudos to you. I watch many art instruction videos and I would put yours at the very top for all quality points.
Based!
Ответитьthank you! this was a wonderful and easy to understand tutorial!
Ответитьbookbinding thread is ...?
Meaning cotton, or ..? I don't have bookbinding stores nearby. Thank you for the clear tutorial!

ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьCan this work for single sheet binding? I’ve been trying to figure out how to turn single sheets into sets because it’s so limited what we can do with single sheets. I love the French link. Soooo pretty.
ОтветитьExcellently presented tutorial. Thank you
ОтветитьThank you for this awesome tutorial. My book turned out just how I wanted it to and lays super flat. 💖💖
ОтветитьI'm so grateful to you Sea Lemon. I remember back in 2017 when I found your video on japanese stab binding and your River Song journal, and decided to give it a go with no bookbinding experience. Little did I know that many years later, after watching so many of your lovely and detailed tutorials, that not only would I come to love bookbinding, but that I would be preparing to open a small handmade business with bookbinding in a month's time. Thank-you so much for sharing your wisdom and inspiration, and for giving me positive bookbinding memories. Every journal I have made from that first River Song journal (I've made 3 iterations as of now, and one is my recipe book!) till now for myself and loved ones I look upon with happiness. You're awesome, keep going!!! <3 <3 <3
ОтветитьThank you Jennifer. I made my first book and your video helped me get through it step by step. ♥

ОтветитьI'm curious if you have any tips for leftys when doing these stitches? And how do you keep it tight? My first attempt was looser than I hoped. Thanks for the video.
Ответитьis it necessary to use a thick line like that?
ОтветитьLove this stitch! Thank you so much for sharing your excellent videos. I have learned so much from you. 🤗
ОтветитьI think this the best method for "No glue Book binding".
ОтветитьThanks for sharing such great easy tutorials! I knocked one of these out in an hour.
ОтветитьCan you make a video about how to do curve stitching?
ОтветитьThank you so much! I just made my first book using this and I loved it! So clear and easy to follow, I really appreciate you and this video : )

ОтветитьI only have hard cardboard for the covers, and was thinking of coptic binding the covers to their respective signatures and french binding the rest of them.
Can french binding be combined with coptic? im very, very new to this
I think I can do this much easier than the Coptic stitch as a first time binding any book. I cant wait to try. I wish it would rain tomorrow. Lol. I would have an excuse to be inside making a book. Thank you Jennifer for all the work you do for these videos
