Online commercial trials and hearings: The latest developments from the Rolls Building

In the interest of justice there should be technology to ensure the witness is not "guided" when giving evidence remotely. Of my head, one way is to detect the movement of the eyes to see if they are looking at something else and to see how rapid their responses it compare to normal etc. This technology is already available but for disable using the movement of the eye to control.

While we are there, another idea is to install lie detection software as well. That will be helpful and a breakthrough and use this as evidence against the often cited reliance of observing the witness by the Judge.
